Hello. I am finishing with front blocks in A4 B6 1.8t. I care about good brakes and checked the price of the blocks. For good textar type, bosch you have to pay about 150 PLN. And here I have a question because for 160 you can buy ceramic Jurid brands. And here I have a question, is it worth it and how is it with ceramics? Is it the same for cold and warm brakes, and how is it with wear?

As for a4 b6. I checked after the VIN, I had Bosche in the series. ATE is very expensive. Now I have just Bosche and have already done more than 65,000 km, do not squeak and brake well. Generally, for example from textar, bosch or TRW. To my version there are several types from one company, for example, textary can be bought for 130 but also for PLN 155. According to VIN, he gives me those for PLN 125, but you can buy one with another sign for 130. The same is true of the VIN, according to the VIN more expensive version shows me to my car. And be wise here, what are the differences? Someone will say it only a block, but I already had cheap ABS, they braked well, but what about how hard half of what is branded. Therefore, as I have to exchange it twice, I prefer it once and better. How do I give 150 I wonder about those advertised ceramic ones.

Buddy, I believe you do not know what you're writing about, because nothing except Zimmerman Bosch, Ate, Girling and Texar is coming up.
And the more expensive the better, live is brutal.

And I believe that you do not know the spelling rules of our native language ;) I really had various cheap brands and I do not want them, they used up quickly. In addition, probably the SCT brand brick fell off the sheet, so when driving with a small child, we almost missed the car. That's why I want something better. I meant the jurid white ceramic blocks, how does it inhibit? Possibly, what would you recommend?

Thanks. This is how I looked at the prices of brand-name ordinary blocks and I will probably take something from that. As for ceramics, I do not care about it. I'm not a maniac there. I only read that, as you said, they do not get dirty (although I do not care about it) and apparently less dr-shields. But for that I heard opinions that they keep braking on cold guys. Generally, I do not want to pay for such prices as for ceramic ones from ATE, usually good brand name is enough for me. I was just curious about these ceramic from jurid because the price is affordable and I do not know this company and I do not know if it is a class of brands ABS, LPR, FERODO or ATE. As if it turned out to be decent, maybe I would give a little dosucil and ride. The more so because we often carry a small rally once every 3.5 years, these + 50 PLN for blocks are acceptable.

You see, everyone has some favorite or proven company or is reading an article somewhere and sticking to it. I've hit a few times more expensive bricks that have liked to sign off the news and not everyone is indifferent to this sound. It seems to me that you will install any blocks (be it bosch, ate, ferodo, trw, lucas, etc.), you will be pleased, hopefully not as cheap as possible. I personally like ferodo, and in a moment someone will say that ferodo was and is dissatisfied. If you have a bosch at the moment, you can always create something else and you will have a comparison on your own skin.

If you do not drive anything from what you write, then do not take into account such opinions. In fact, 90 percent of drivers would not feel the difference (well, maybe the sound) on the high-performance blocks used in the motorbike where they are actually heated better.

    Hello.
The proximity of "brands" ABS, LPR, FERODO, ATE in the text tweaks in the text. You can not compare the first two with the last, because this is not the shelf. And if ferodo, ate, trw, pagit, jurid, akebono, are OE products, i.e. assembled for the first assembly at the factory, then the first ones will never be there. The first league mixes on assembly in factories of various vehicle makes and in models of given brands and yearbooks. I will not be bored as this is done, because it does not have sense / I used to write about it before. Writing that jurid / bendix / is an unknown brand is a slight exaggeration, it is a premium class, next to ate, trw pagid.

Oh, no thanks for specific info. I ride calmly not competitively, although sometimes you have to drive harder because you know how it is. And after I left this block and I had to run to the neighboring belt, somehow something is being watched right now. Someone will tell me what is the difference in the brick 125 for 125 PLN of the same brand with only a different designation? Of course, both fit the same model.

ATE broke down, I mounted my shields, the blades squeak at low speeds like in Ikarus. I also installed the Ceramic Set to A6 and it also happens to burn but much less. Personally, they assemble a lot of Texstar and they are ok and the price is a bit lower.

The price in a given brand depends on the composition of the mixture / ferrode / for the production of the block. The composition has an effect on the braking comfort, "Fading" or repeatability of braking efficiency, regardless of the temperature of the block-disc. They differ also in adhesives for mixtures, and the method of production, because asbestos had to be replaced, the most expensive ones have kevlar.

In fact, JURID is an old and well-known company, although in the general circulation (users) little known ... about BOSCH, ATE or Ferrodo probably everyone heard, and about Jurida - not necessarily (I did not hear). Currently, it is rather a commercial brand - it was first absorbed by Bendix, and later it was taken over by Honeywell ...

As for the price, apart from the above-mentioned more expensive blocks, they are also beveled.

As for the absorption, you are wrong, jurid and bendix is the same brand / after entering the American group /, but the bendix for the French-speaking market, honeywell sold probably / 2014 / to federal mogul, a company which occupies a significant place in the automotive industry. I do not know if the factory in Glinde near Hamburg still works in a passenger car, but at one time it was the main supplier for a truck and buses, there was also a laboratory and a dynamometer. For the curious, I can throw a few photos.

Hello. However, the ceramics are gone. Now I have a question to take according to the catalog number and for the same price I have 3 brands ie bosch, textar, ATE. What would you recommend?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the choice between ceramic and ordinary brake blocks for an Audi A4 B6 1.8t, specifically comparing brands like Textar, Bosch, and Jurid. Users express concerns about brake performance, wear, and pricing, noting that while ceramic blocks are less prone to staining and may produce less dust, they might not perform as well in cold conditions. Several participants recommend sticking to well-known brands such as Bosch, ATE, and Ferodo, citing their reliability and performance. Jurid is mentioned as a lesser-known but reputable brand, with some users advocating for its ceramic options due to their affordability. Ultimately, the consensus leans towards choosing established brands for better overall performance and safety.
