    Hello,

From Saturday, I do not have the left front light in the Astra (daytime running light). I thought it was the light bulb's fault (although the old one looked good) but despite buying a new one, unfortunately the problem did not disappear. I found that maybe it was the fault of the fuse, but unfortunately everything is ok. And now the most interesting thing ... The bulb is on the right, but when I unplugged the ankle (in the Astra I have HB3 bulbs, with the cube directly) and connected a new bulb, this is still NOT It shines, even the new one, and when I connect it to the right bulb, it shines normally ... What is this magic?

Regards and I am asking for quick help.

And why is that good bulb not working on the other side?

Probably because there is no power on the right side.

There are no daytime running lights as standard in the Astra G, at most you can install the "Scandinavian" module that automatically turns on the dipped beam after starting the engine (but without number plate lighting, clocks and display backlight dimmer). So which lights do you mean.

I wrote that for daytime driving, i.e. passing.

You didn't understand what I wrote. I have light on the right, and not on the left, when I put a GOOD BULB from left to right (under the ankle), it does not work. And it should be because the bulb is good and the voltage must be there if the other one works.

Hence the doubts because it is not the same.

Hook the right bulb under the left ankle. I don't like this bulb or its holder. Because there is the usual H7 as low beam and not HB3, which you should have as road, i.e. long.
    Check fuses.

At night what kind of lights do you drive?!? I also wrote - in this car you do not have daytime running lights (unless you added them yourself). I assume you have a driving license, so you should know the names of the different types of lights your car is equipped with.

Because you are translating the wrong bulb (not from the lights you need). You move the light bulb from the high beam (formerly called the long beam), and you (probably) the beam from the dipped beam (formerly called the short beam) does not work.

    Yes, my mistake.

I do not move the bulb from the long lights. It is possible that I have something changed because I write HB3 on the housing and H7 is at the long lights as you write.

And I put HB3 to the ankle from HB3

From the dipped beam it is H7, and from the road (long) beam it is HB3 (similar, only with such a plastic "cube") ... so you constantly deal with the wrong bulb.

Oh shit .... Thanks for the answer.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a malfunctioning left front daytime running light in an Astra G 2.0 Sport. The user initially suspected a faulty bulb or fuse, but after replacing the bulb and checking the fuse, the issue persisted. Responses indicate confusion regarding the bulb types, with clarification that the Astra G typically uses H7 for dipped beams and HB3 for high beams. The user mistakenly interchanged the bulbs, leading to the malfunction. The consensus is that the user should ensure the correct bulb type is used and check the bulb holder for issues.
