    Hello,

I bought the EZP2010 programmer. Firmware version v 3.0. I installed on Windows 7x64 with drivers that I found on the hamster and the device despite the lack of a digital signature installed as "device works properly" in the device manager. The program is EZP2010 / 2011 and in the "Self Test" program it detects the device as Status :O k. The program also detects the connected USB programmer as: OK.

The problem is only when I want to read the contents of the EEPROM ST24c32 chip. After soldering the memory into the programmer socket, the programmer lights the Green RUN indicator (flashes). Then I go to the program and press: Detect Chip. - Unfortunately, I still get the status "Detect chip error". No matter if I put this memory in this programmer, it doesn't detect it for me. Strangely enough, when I press Read this program reads "something" but they pop up only 00000000, so I didn't read anything. Setting this memory on the left side of the program manually as ST24c32 has no other effect.

I have already tried on Windows 7 x32 and also the same. What am I doing wrong ? The drivers are rather ok because the test programmer comes out OK and sees it connected to USB. There are no exclamation marks in the Device Manager. EEPROM itself soldered into the socket properly Hot Air, all done correctly.
The memory he is trying to rip is EEPROM ST24c32 from the Blaupunkt radio from Vectra C. I wanted to pull out CarPass and I can't read the simple memory; /
Someone will tell you what could be the reason? Can I go back to firmware 2.1 and try on XP? Can I return from v3.0 (it was originally bought) to 2.1?

    thanks

This programmer will not detect this memory for you. The DETECT option does not work for EEPROM only for SPI Flash or possibly DATA Flash. You must select the SEARCH option and manually select the memory model and memory manufacturer. Then the READ option will work for you.

Thank you for the explanation. I followed the advice and after choosing Search ST24c32 and choosing the READ reading option, the programmer with a green bar, marking the reading correctness, read me 00 00 00 00. And there is something in this memory, because the radio is playing. What can be the reason for this? Any advice on how to dump it?
The radio is Blaupunkt CD30 MP3. EEPROM: ST 95640W6 so I understand that you should choose: ST24c32, moreover, I chose all in turn available in ST and still 00.

    It looks to me like:
    - problem with EEPROM systems
    - defective programmer (s)

ad. 1 - check the memory reading in another programmer
ad. 2 - try to program some memory and read it, select the "VERIFICATION" option

Is the memory inserted in the tray in the right place?

[code: 1: 083e9c6c6e] [/ code: 1: 083e9c6c6e] The memory is soldered into the SO8 board which I got with the programmer and the board is inserted into the first pins from above, looking from the "trapdoor" which holds the base. This stand is lower than copying layouts from what I understood. I've watched so many movies on yt that you can't make a mistake. Same 00 reads. Tomorrow I will install Windows XP and check it with a different memory and let me know. I will also record a video of how I do it for verification.

    edit:

Film from a reading test ending with reading 000000 alone.
Ps. surprisingly, I accidentally set SPI Flash AMIC and read it to me with the values contained in it (which is not in the film) but unfortunately during SAVE it was saved to me as 128kb and the decryption program showed an error because it is not the type of memory, size.

Okay. I think I know the reason for my failure. Can anyone answer the question whether the ST 95640w6 system has anything to do with 24c32 or is it just my error and I should look for a programmer that will handle the SPI 95 memory .....?
I think this is just my mistake and I understand that this programmer has no chance to read this memory, because it supports 24, 25, 93, SPI 25.
One entry from a forum has misled me that the radio CD30MP3 sits ST24c32 and I thought it was the memory. And since I have no memory reading experience, it turned out that my memory is ST 95640w6 and it is sitting in Blaupunkt. In contrast, the same radio model but manufacturer Grundig has ST24c32. I have Blaupunkt, so I scored a little bit. The programmer works and I have caused unnecessary confusion.
I understand that for memory 95 needs, for example, Revelprog? Is there something cheaper that will read this memory?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues faced with the EZP2010 programmer, specifically regarding the detection and reading of the ST24c32 EEPROM chip. The user successfully installed the programmer on Windows 7x64 and confirmed its functionality through self-test diagnostics. However, attempts to read the ST24c32 EEPROM resulted in a "Detect chip error" and only returned zeros when reading. Responses suggested that the detection feature may not work for EEPROMs and recommended using the SEARCH option to manually select the memory model. Further investigation revealed that the actual memory in the user's device was an ST95640W6, not the ST24c32, leading to confusion. The user acknowledged the mistake and inquired about suitable programmers for the ST95640W6, considering alternatives like the Revelprog for SPI memory.
