    Hey.
I need to make a memory dump in the binary 25080 eeprom.
    I have such a programmer:
Opel Astra CID Display: Reading 25080 EEPROM Memory with Binary Dump & Programmer Compatibility

Will he be able to do this with this equipment?
    If so, which program?

From what I read above eeprom is serial theoretically should be given.
I tried Ponyprog and the program provided by the chip manufacturer Silicon, but both do not connect to the programmer.

If it does not connect to the programmer, you either have something wrongly set up, a badly installed one, not this program or a broken programmer.

Well, I'm asking about the program.

You have to know what programmer you have and what the program is for it.
Colleague Irneo gave you most of the possible answers, I can add one more change the programmer. There is a whole bunch of them to this memory.

I also have a program for this programmer, but I do not want to damage anything and I'm afraid to check if it works with this eeprom, because this program is in flash memory.
It is possible to change the power supply from 1.8V to 3.3V and it is from USB - if I go more I will damage the eeprom probably.

Please help me what to do.
Is there a risk or I worry too much?

Hello, my friend, the first question is whether this programmer supports the above-mentioned eeprom, because if you do not even install different programs and the programmer does not support this souvenir, you will not read it.

Well, I think I understand what's going on now. Probably does not support ... unfortunately.

This is the memory with the SPI interface.
Enter 25080 programmer in the search engine and you will have a choice to color - you will even find diagrams of such programmers.
If it's a matter of 1 pc of memory, ask someone for programming, it will be cheaper.

Maybe this is a good opportunity to buy a programmer.
I used to do something on this subject during my studies, and I'm not hiding that I'm green at the moment.
In any case, if you can recommend something, please.
As to whether it is not necessarily cheaper, services in the UK are very expensive, so for the price of such an operation I will probably buy a programmer.
    greetings

River theme, the question of how much money you have.
Here you have something in the edge of the popular and much able (for the future) www.gotronik.pl/programator-willem-71-wersja-zif32-p-1.html

SPI will read even pony prog.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the challenges of reading the 25080 EEPROM memory using a specific programmer. The user inquires about the compatibility of their programmer with the EEPROM and seeks recommendations for suitable software. Responses indicate that connection issues may stem from incorrect setup, incompatible software, or a malfunctioning programmer. It is suggested that the user verify if their programmer supports the 25080 EEPROM, as it utilizes an SPI interface. Some participants recommend exploring alternative programmers or seeking professional programming services, while others mention that certain software, like Ponyprog, should theoretically work with SPI EEPROMs. The user expresses concern about potential damage to the EEPROM when adjusting power supply settings.
