    Hello.

    I have a Lenovo Miix 300-iby tablet. The tablet died after the last discharge, I took apart - I checked the battery with a multimeter and the socket where the battery is connected. While the battery itself returns something, unfortunately the socket does not. And from what I know - after connecting to the power should be there voltage right?

    I bet on electronic damage to components on the board. The tablet has no charging, so it seems to be a problem with one of the initial resistors. Has anyone ever repaired such a thing and can prompt where to start checking? The elements are mass, and the scheme u is missing :(

    @Edit
    I remembered: Is this tablet going to charge by connecting a 5V smartphone charger to the USB socket? Does it only serve as ordinary OTG?

    Is it possible that someone in front of me connected 5V and burned something on the board? If so, where to look for it?

    best regards

    In the specification, this tablet like most - does not charge from the socket via USB but only from the PC and works as an OTG of course, too. You tried to charge the batteries externally and start the tablet, modify the charger with some 5V with 2x 1A diodes to pack under the battery wires so that the socket would think that battery.

    I would - charged external batteries and then fired and checked whether it was charging - from a charger or a pc. If the charging system did not fall down and then either repairing it or converting the DC tab from the socket or charging the battery from outside creating a lead out of the battery lead outside the housing and the plug to make some extra and chargers to modify it with a plug suitable for connecting and charging such a tablet (Of course, by the eye you will have to enable tab because there will be no 100% blocking charging system)

    I measured it all day today, complete lack of voltage at any charging. Probably someone put him 5V in OTG. I returned the topic to the site, asked him to check all SMD components. Soldering of millimeter resistors slightly exceeded my shaking hand :)

    Thanks for the reply, I will let you know when I get a diagnosis. best regards

    If you even take a charger, i.e. a microUSB-USB charging cable and a USB contact adapter, the plug will not burn you anything in the tablet, I checked many times - there will be zero reaction on and off. And such chargers have the 5V standard

    As for soldering, I have average knowledge in these matters, but it can be done - it worked out for one.

    I would check before handing over if you solder the wires from the battery and hook up the 3.7V charger with some - cutting the cord in it and for 30s + to + and _ to - and after that it would charge 30-1m long enough for it to be almost for firing up the tablet and checking if it charges after turning on or after switching on halfway or charging, as the battery would work and it did not charge the fault of the charging system.

    But as the warranty is why you have fun by yourself - give it back and fix it. as after the warranty, returning to the service is not profitable.

    tablet goes for 700-900 PLN new, the cost of repair will consume 1/4 price but in this case it pays to repair it at a cheaper site it is no longer profitable
