Hello all  Understanding Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1, S1 Error in VW Polo III 1.4 MPI 2000 6n2

    I have a Vw polo III 6n2 2000. 1.4 MPI
I still have a lambda probe error when I plugged in VAGA, There is an error, code: 16518 - Oxygen (Lamda) Sensor B1 S1: No Activity.
Prose for help, it's the first mistake - the second one is now out of date.
Which probe is not working properly? In addition, when I take the measuring blocks in this program - VAG-COM RELEASE 409-1, without changing the value and start the car, the car goes out, temp. 0.00 = 0.00. Why does it go out when I take "measuring blocks"? I delete the error, i.e. CHECK, but max 2 days and it lights up again. There is a chance that the sensor is good, only some wire is broken?
Will someone explain well what does Sensor B1, S1 mean?
    Please help.

    Hello,
For me, B1 S1 means Bank 1 Sensor 1 or lamba probe 1.
You can still try to swap the probes then if it is the probe's fault then S1 should change to S2.
I use another program so I have everything written there exactly these are only my presumptions

    The bank is which side.
You have 4 cylinders, not a V system, so you have one exhaust, i.e. only bank 1.
    Sensor is which probe.
1 is regulatory and is in front of the catalyst and the other is behind the catalyst for testing its effectiveness.
The error concerns the probe in front of the catalyst.
The probe, broken wire or e.g. lean LPG mixture may be damaged.
Connect a multimeter between the black and gray probe cable, set it to 2VDC and see what it shows at idle and what when suddenly pressing the accelerator pedal into the floor on a warm engine.

Okay, if in the picture what I attached Controler: 030 906 032 CG - this is the probe number?
If I had to buy, I found a used one and only look for such a number?

This is the engine driver number.
You will find the probe number only on it or on the website after VIN.
Buy only from the higher shelf.
    Bosch should probably be there.

Because you know someone gave a replacement there, and there are no numbers on it: C
How do I buy if I don't know the numbers of this Probe.

The engine you have AUD or ANW. The first probe is broadband. I have never encountered any substitutes.

After the driver number it comes out as an AUD engine. The first probe for this engine has no. 030 906 262 J

How many probes have wires, what colors?
    Most likely service.
After VIN they will advise you what should be there.
If broadband is Bosch or NTK and 500 PLN in the store you have to count.
If 4 wires or less is about PLN 300 for Bosch.

So if it has 4 it's normal and not broadband and you can check it with the meter as I wrote.
Two white, black and gray cord.

It is not surprising that it does not work, because there is to be broadband, unless you look at the one behind the catalyst.

I don't mean the catalyst all the time

Give a photo of this probe's cube, maybe the installation has been modified. In AUD, the first probe should be broadband, the probe number I sent, selected from the elsa for this engine.

Understanding Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1, S1 Error in VW Polo III 1.4 MPI 2000 6n2

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a lambda sensor error (code 16518) in a 2000 VW Polo III 1.4 MPI, specifically regarding the Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1, S1. Users clarify that B1 S1 refers to Bank 1 Sensor 1, which is the primary sensor located before the catalytic converter. The error may indicate a malfunctioning sensor or issues such as broken wiring or a lean fuel mixture. Participants suggest testing the sensor with a multimeter and provide guidance on identifying the correct replacement part, emphasizing the importance of using high-quality components, preferably from Bosch. The engine type is confirmed as AUD, and the specific probe number for replacement is noted as 030 906 262 J. The discussion also touches on the wiring configuration of the sensor, indicating it has four wires.
