Hello. colleagues, I have a question, I bought a new key with a stone for the e46 polift with the n42b20 engine and I bought a device called Smart ZED BULL.
Let's say that I was able to assign the code from the old key to the new seed, but the car still does not start, do I have to assign a new seed to the driver in the car?

    Apparently your device didn't.
I don't know if it can do that at all.
    Transponder Cloning:
    1.11, 12, 13, 33, 73, 4C (writing to 4C electronic key and batteryless TPX1 transponder), Crypto 40 (some), 41 (all), 42 (all), 44 (all unlocked), 45 (all), Texas crypto 4D (all 60-61-62-63-64-65-67) to batteryless TPX2 and Silca electronic heads
2.Until now, common transponder cloning tools could only copy fixed transponders. But the revolution that we started with our device, Zed-Qx, is increasing with Zed-BULL. Also you can copy 4C transponders onto batteryless TPX1 4C glass transponders

Give some photos with the reading of the old key and the new one.
In my opinion, the transponder has not been cloned and here is the problem.
There is nothing to expect miracles from a toy for PLN 120.

Is it only reading from the key or was the device connected to the car and is it reading from the car or from the EWS file?

If it reads you mileage and VIN and there is no such thing on the second transponder, then make the conclusions yourself.
Unless this data is made up by this device.

The device is probably worth something because I assigned some parameter to the stone, only maybe the software issue, I entered this long number by hand because copy, save from the machine, nothing gave

    Yes

or on foot quickly to the file with ews, i.e. max 5 minutes of work with appropriate devices

read a skein from ews, write to the tp file using a key programming device (e.g. ADE, tango, they do flawlessly)
two thresholds needed for this 1 as above. and another for Motorola reading.

You just did not add that depending on the processor mask we do in two ways.

Now a question for the author: do you have something to read this processor?
    Greetings

As I wrote above, I have in stock Chinese zedbull and a computer with inpa so that with this set it does not get too much rather

And this zedbul does not add this car to the file? Besides, you have nothing to read the processor with, and there is no topic, you will not do anything. Unfortunately, to do these topics you need to spend a few thousand zlotys.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the challenges faced when using the Smart ZED BULL device to copy a transponder key for a BMW E46 with an N42B20 engine. The user successfully assigned the code from the old key to a new key but encountered issues with the car not starting. Responses indicate that the Smart ZED BULL may not have effectively cloned the transponder, and there are suggestions to connect the device to the car's EWS (Electronic Steering Wheel Lock) system for proper programming. Participants discuss the need for additional tools and methods to read the processor and program the key correctly, emphasizing that without proper equipment, successful key programming may not be achievable.
