Post due to differences in construction applies only to E60. There are other posts about E61.

    E60 530i 2004

    Ubjawy:
    - no reaction to buttons from the remote control
    - no memory of driver's seat (everything works electrically)
    - after opening the door with a mechanical key, the alarm is triggered almost every time

    Diagnosis:
    - no errors in INPA

    - key control in the service (keys have battery power and send the appropriate frequency)

    - disassembly of the diversity module and contact cleaning

    - replacing the diversity module with another supposedly 100% efficient (unfortunately no changes)

    - status control and module replacement (interference filter)

    questions:

    - why in WDS about diversity there is only one link and it is empty in total. Where to hook up in WDS to trace the diagram. There are no helpful markers on diversity poles

I don't remember exactly, but there is only a constant + - power supply, a cable going to CAS and that's all for the remote control to work

The remote controls are working, something in the car is not working, some receiver, amplifier, antenna or whatever.

sorry I said wrong, in CAS you will see frames fly through INPE. I used to have the same E60 as I did.
Antenna module 6 pin permanent PLUS and 3 pin to CAS on 33pin WS / BL, it probably has mass from the body

    EWS replacement

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a BMW E60 530i (2004) experiencing issues with remote control functionality, driver seat memory, and alarm activation upon using the mechanical key. Initial diagnostics revealed no errors in INPA, and key control was confirmed to be functional. Suggestions included checking the antenna module connections, specifically the power supply and connections to the CAS (Car Access System). Users discussed the need to verify signal frames in the CAS using INPA and mentioned the possibility of EWS (Electronic Steering Wheel Lock) replacement as a potential solution.
