    Hi,
the problem is in the volvo V50II MY08.
I locked the car with the first key (so far it was operational), after returning the car did not open - the car does not respond when I press the buttons on the remote control. The second key is working. I replaced the battery in a broken key - no effect. I checked the old battery, it was on the 3.04V limit - while the second key on this battery works without any problems.
I checked the spectrum analyzer with the "broken" key, I can see the transmission at 433MHz - the command is sent when each button is pressed, so the key is operational, at least it transmits something.
I disconnected the battery for a while, I thought it was a temporary problem, but not. I connected the car to Vide, but there are no errors ...

The fact that he transmits does not mean that he is operational, it is important what he transmits.

Correct, which way should we go now? Can you reprogram the key or reprogram the module to make the key work?

If you have good hardware the remote is out of the 433.930Mhz band. Check the connections on the remote control board. Programming, you can reload CEM at the Dealership, but it will only restore the key codes and each key needs the master codes for the remote control and the second one for the immo are always on the key packaging without them, it will not start, so the use is only possible in parts .

Hey, looking at the transmit band, the remote is in band - the spectrum is the same as in a working remote.
I heated the remote control to compensate for the cold February if pwostały, but none of this ...

Hello. The same case, the car fires, and there is no reaction to the central locking remote control (the central one works from the inside of the car) The remote is checked, sends a signal, the battery is operational. Someone solved the problem?

You sell the chips one by one to another board.

I understand that we are talking about the pilot board?

Today I changed the antenna on the clocks and it did not help, I am still struggling with the problem .. The key is checked and okay (this is what the key duplication experts said). For me, there is no reaction to the pilot, whether I am sitting in the car or outside, I think I will be looking for a professional who will replace the chip .. Does anyone know what costs?

Did you solve this problem, buddy? I am struggling with a similar one, but 2 remotes do not work, new batteries and the car burns without a problem

The same symptoms, Reload CEM helped me.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a malfunctioning remote key for a Volvo V50 2.0D MY08, where one key fails to respond despite a battery change and confirmed transmission at 433MHz. Users suggest that the key may be transmitting but not sending the correct signals. Possible solutions include reprogramming the key or the control module (CEM), checking the remote control board connections, and ensuring the remote is within the correct frequency band. Some users report similar issues with their remotes, indicating a broader problem, while others mention that reloading the CEM resolved their issues. There are also discussions about potential costs for professional repairs and the need for master codes for key functionality.
