Samsung S5610 suddenly I could not make any calls (message only emergency calls), no one could call me either.
I transferred the card to another phone, works normally in another. I transferred a different card to a particular Samsung and it is the same - no coverage.

In the upper right corner instead of range lines there is an icon - a magnifier. As if some mode was turned on in the phone .. I was looking in the settings. I changed the network values, from automatic, to GSM, etc., the same each time. I was resetting the phone, restoring to factory settings - nothing helped. I was reset by code * 2767 * 3855 # - it didn't help. All the time a magnifying glass icon appears in the upper right corner of the display and I can't make calls.

I was looking for information on this topic. This has not happened to one person. Someone was helped by a reset, unfortunately not. In other cases I haven't found a solution to this problem. I read that it could be some "SOS" mode but I don't know how to turn it off etc.

This is not a problem of not reading the sim card, because if the SIM slot was damaged, a message would appear, no card. Maybe the antenna in the phone has failed, but I don't even know how to check where it is in this model,

All zeros. After entering this code, all zeros are shown. I checked without a card inserted
    SIM.

You can fix it with Z3X, for example.

And is it possible that it just suddenly broke by itself ...? I understand that it will be difficult for me to fix it myself, and without the correct IMEI I will not be able to work with the sim card.

Yes, it could, although more often you do something with a soft or simlock.
Go to the site will definitely embrace.

Apparently, removing the simlock codes, it happens that just the IMEI number is zeroing. I remember from 2 years ago the phone was unlocked, so far the phone was working properly. Maybe with this lack of coverage and this magnifying glass icon does not depend on the fact that the IMEI number is incorrect. Maybe the reason is different.

You probably used the code to download the simlock for free.

I recommend repair in the service because now only a professional hand will heal.

    Hi,
    I have the same problem.

The phone was fully functional, but it was turned off because I use it sporadically.

Today I turned on and is not logging in to the network. When trying to change the network selection to "manual", it searches for the network correctly, but after selecting it, the message "not allowed".

    Otherwise:
    - a magnifying glass icon on various cards (ok on other phones),
    - IMEI all zeros,
    - a standard factory reset from the phone options did nothing,
    - code reset * 2767 * 3855 # gave nothing.

Are there any ways to save the phone yourself? :)

Thanks in advance for the hints

IMEI repair only. Simply operators reject the connection with an IMEI device consisting of only zeros.

So I can't do anything without special equipment? :)

    Everything has been written above.

Topic summary

The Samsung S5610 user reports an inability to make or receive calls, with the device displaying a magnifying glass icon instead of signal bars. The SIM card works in other phones, indicating the issue lies with the S5610. Attempts to resolve the problem included changing network settings, performing factory resets, and using a specific reset code, all without success. The IMEI number appears as all zeros, suggesting a potential corruption. Responses from other users indicate that the issue may be related to IMEI corruption, possibly due to previous SIM unlock attempts. Recommendations include visiting a repair service for IMEI restoration, as devices with zero IMEI are typically rejected by network operators.
