I have a problem with Skype. In the morning I turned on the computer and got a notification from Skype that there is a new version to download and I clicked and it did not install, unfortunately an error appeared so then I uninstalled it from my laptop and wanted to install Skype again from their website. However, after the entire installation, the following message appeared = UNABLE TO START THE PROGRAM BECAUSE THE COMPUTER IS NOT FOUND API-MS-WIN, CRT-RUNTIME-I1-1-0.dll. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem over and over again. I am asking for help because I need Skype.

64 bit or 32 bit system?

if you don't know, check by right clicking on my computer desktop and select properties. There will be written in the system type entry either 32 bits or 64 bits

If you have 32 then download here:

    If 64 then here:

But I have done this before and infinitely there is information, the search for updates on this computer is going on and nothing but a green light that it is looking for infinity anyway because I have already tried it, it will not change anything rather because it only searches and searches and searches and that's all. What should I do with this Skype?

if updates have not been made before or have been made a long time ago, it is normal to think so long. I used to leave the computer all night to upload the updates under W7.

And they upload the update themselves and I have to leave the computer connected to the Internet for the whole night? What do you think?

generally, it's better to keep an eye on the hardware, I had a few computers to do, so I had to do this for lack of time.

Let it look for updates in the morning, it will take a long time, but it will eventually find and install them.

It's hard for me to say I was looking for a few hours (3 - 4) but that was some time ago :)

I have a question whether the computer should be turned on all the time or can I turn off for half an hour and restart and will it be a continuation or will it break and start again? ;-)

it has already been installed by some miracle after 3 days, but not from the link from windows, only on the bottom of the left bar where there is sound and other there is a blue rectangle and there is a windows update only that it is looking for 4 day 2 updates and it says size 0 kb, 0% completed and it doesn't change. WEIRD TRUE !! I think he updated something there but I don't know if it's or maybe skyp made a patch to this system and today I managed to install it.

Now I have another problem, so when Skype works for me and somehow installed it, it does not work for me the sound on youtube. Sometimes when you turn on the computer, you can hear such a characteristic Windows melody and then you wait a long time and sometimes it works. Now the sound in youtube doesn't work for me, e.g. I don't know what happened. PLEASE HELP.

so you already have an updated system? when you enter the control panel and windows update it does not search for new ones? in the sense that after some time the info appears that the system is up to date or is it still looking?

this is how the sound in skype in youtube works sometimes sometimes it doesn't matter how long I wait for my computer to open completely. So far, it is looking for 2 updates from what I can see it says size 0 kb, 0% completed and it does not change and now it is looking and looking for the 3rd day. SOME MASSACRE ;-)
