I have already prepared a climate installation in the living room. The flat has 55 sq m (living room 19 sq m open to the corridor approx. 5 sq m, next to it a small semi-open kitchen half-covered from the living room by a wall of approx. 6 sq m, closed separately from the corridor 5 sq m bathroom and two rooms 9 and 10 sq m. The flat is on the 4th (last ) floor in a 50-year block and in the heat in 2015, the temperature in the apartment reached 30 degrees
Generally, the climate has assumptions:
- is to cool the living room and the rooms, if I open the door, will only lower it a few degrees, so 3.5kW is enough for me
- it will work rather in greater heat and occasionally when at the end of winter the heaters turn off and in the apartment cold (heating function)
- the air conditioner will be on a single-phase installation, the main fuse 25A in the apartment, new installation inside (separate cable and C-16 for the terminal) but the block has old aluminum wires
in addition, the renovation is already covered with a single-phase induction hob (gas burnt out), dishwasher washing machine, etc. therefore I will not invest in a mega strong and power-consuming device
- I install the climate under a window in an old-fashioned cooperative on the basis of "we will not give you your consent, and if there are no denunciations, we will not download you", so I do not want to invest, e.g. PLN because there is some risk of ordering the removal of air conditioning by the building inspector, although I believe that small, because you generally don't hear that in blocks so often they have to remove hanged installations without permission
- the climate is to lower the temperature to "looser" but I do not like the fridge in the apartment
That's why I like analyzing different things
LG Standard Plus P12EN, the alleged 10-year warranty for the compressor suggests that the manufacturer is making good equipment.
The downside is the price - around PLN 2,110
For comparison, I found Kasai KED-12KTA, prices on the net 1330 and also class A ++, 3.5 kW, so similar parameters. At LG, I like the display of current power consumption.
Is it worth paying extra to LG?
I would like the device to work for 5-8 years at least. On the other hand, I do not want to invest too much because I have the prospect of working abroad maybe this year so I am asking for an opinion, is it worth paying extra to LG?
The company that made the installation for me, in turn, recommended Gree and they also often install. Is it true, what they write in the net that it is a good company, but Chinese and it is not known how durable it was against a certain LG?
I know that the installation for e.g. LG warranty must be done by an authorized service but it is cheaper for me that the installation and connection will be done for me by a company from Klima, and I buy equipment via the net without installation. In Warsaw, I save a few hundred compared to the climate + installation offers, so I prefer to do the cleaning and maintenance service "without warranty".
