    Hi,

does it make sense to buy a set of such "stage" speakers (probably not ;) ) as loudspeakers for home parties and for listening to music, if good bass reproduction would be welcome? I know that the manufacturer's data on power and efficiency are extremely overstated, but it should be quite enough for home, and the Tonsil Zeus or Altus sets cost theirs ;)

    Mountains:
    2x Skytec 170.728
    150W

    Woofers
2x Skytec SMW 15 with 15 inch driver
    300W

All loudspeakers have an impedance of 8?.

If you have too much money, it is better to donate for some good cause - maybe a pet shelter in the area would be happy with the donation?
Skytec are pseudo-stage pseudo-columns. Not only that (as you have noticed yourself) the parameters provided by the left leg sucked from the dirty big toe, but also lowering them all by 2/3, they simply do not sound well.

Home speakers are the best choice for home speakers. End and period.

These are also not good loudspeakers ... Zeus - completely devoid of the middle of the frequency range with an aggressive tweeter and humming monotonously low. Tonsil - a low quality bass and (in the case of GDWT) a rocky treble.
"You want to hurt your ears - buy Zeus."

I could buy the whole set of these loudspeakers for PLN 450, so I do not understand this allusion ...

Well, maybe STX? http://stx.pl/kolumny-stx-f-130.html or floorboards http://stx.pl/stx-f-140-n-kolor-czarny.html.

Or maybe you risk these Skytec? 15-inch woofers should have nice and deep bass. Even if they actually have 80W RMS, it should be fine with two such speakers ;)

I also noticed such Elestra loudspeakers http://elestra.pl/index.php?p513,b-8-cx-kolumna-100-w 100W per channel (and Elestra rather gives real power) that's a lot. But their data is poor, they didn't even mention the speaker diameters ....

    So don't worry about them.
These Elesters are on 8 "midbase + some tweeter and they are not really suitable for listening to music at home, or for publicizing events, unless they are satellites, supported by a sub-bass in some small stage installation.
STXs for listening to music, but nobody will recommend them to you, not even the producer.
Take note of the maxim repeated many times on this (and not only) forum: there are no universal speakers, i.e. those that would be suitable for listening to music at home and for publicizing events. So you have to decide what you care more about.

    Greetings.

When I write "home party" I mean: 8 people in a 20m2 room and not 100 people in a 200m2 room or an open-air concert. After all, on 20m2 I will not hang 6 linear packages per side and set up 2 subbasses ;) So I think that 80-100W home speakers or some pseudo-stage speakers should be sufficient ;) I just thought that these Skytec or Elestra would be just slightly stronger and slightly more durable versions of home speakers. Anyway, the idea of buying home speakers from Tonsil was also criticized

So which companies (but not audiophiles!) Would you recommend? There are also a lot of mixed opinions about STX, and unfortunately the stores are full of trash, even worse than this Skytec set ...

In my opinion, the stage to the house does not fit a bit. Even if you would like to do house parties in the living room, all this equipment will be one big misunderstanding. With the rest of the alleged 30Hz to which the woofers are to go, the bass will probably be heard in another room or even outside. You will be cheaper to buy a used stx f130 or an older f120 or f180. They are up to PLN 400 on olx. He had a buddy in the dorm and for parties it was more than that.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the suitability of Skytec 'Stage' speakers for home use, particularly for parties and music listening, with a focus on bass quality. Users express skepticism about the advertised power and efficiency of Skytec speakers, suggesting they are not ideal for home environments. Alternatives such as STX and Elestra speakers are proposed, with emphasis on the importance of selecting speakers that are specifically designed for home use rather than stage use. The consensus is that while Skytec speakers may provide adequate sound for small gatherings, they lack the quality and fidelity expected from home audio systems. Recommendations lean towards used STX models for better performance at a reasonable price.
