    Hello
The problem with my "Jarek" appeared after this year's winter. When the thaw came, in the car from the headliner (on the front pillars) water started to drip, at the same time a car alarm with a central lock began to go crazy. First the central stopped responding to the remote control but after a few days everything returned to normal, then went crazy again. After a few days after turning the key in the ignition the clocks go out and an alarm sounds - the emergency flashes (the siren is off) and the car cannot be started - after 30 minutes of combining (rummaging in the installation, with fuses, disconnecting the battery, etc.), the car alarm went off and allowed start my car (I have no idea what the reason was). The situation repeated itself after another week and ended similarly - after 30 minutes of combining I was able to start the car (but the central and car alarm still does not respond to the remote control).
In connection with the above, I ask colleagues:
    - why water dripped from the headliner (places I marked on the photos) and how to solve this problem (at the moment there are no such symptoms but it is probably through spring and other weather conditions);
    - why does the central car alarm behave like this and how can this problem be solved - I suspect that the reason may be the humidity in the central unit - I read somewhere that it is under the clock but I have no idea how to get there - I'm afraid to break these plastics.
On the photos I posted a type of car alarm (challenger ST 800P), a place where water dripped and how the car alarm with the central lock was connected.
Never crashed car (very well maintained) - I bought it from a friend who had it new (garaged).

The water certainly does not follow the counters, it will not flow upwards. It collects either from the sunroof as it is, roof antennas or badly stuck glass. As for the variation of the alarm, it is normal if moisture gets in, water will do its job. Locate the leak, dry the switchboard and observe if this is enough.

    Hello
The sunroof is not there, the antenna is located on the roof at the back. I also suspect badly stuck glass (for a Toyota this is a scandal) but how to check it to be sure.
Does anyone have experience like in "Jarku" get to the alarm control panel - what actions must be performed and in what order not to break the plastics?
I still have a question - can you somehow deactivate the alarm if it goes crazy again and blocks the possibility of firing (at the moment it looks as if I had no alarm at all - maybe because of humidity, maybe through cold February)?
    Regards

As for emergency shutdown, it should have a service button. Where someone hid him is difficult to say. It is best to locate the switchboard, follow the wires that you found. You can look with the flashlight above the pedals.

In the service for mounting the alarm they took off the dashboard (at least they should)
    Quotation:
Note: It is recommended that you keep the alarm box in order for the alarm to function properly
the control panel under the top of the dashboard!
    The instructions for disassembly are:
A - remove the side parts of the center console
    B - unscrew the radio
C - remove the "clock" cover and the clock
D - remove the two screws securing the dashboard
E - remove the front bollard covers
F - remove the "storage" and unscrew the two AIR-BAG fastening screws
(remember to remove the cube from AIR-BAG !!!)
remove the top of the dashboard

    Hello
Today I started looking for the switchboard and I think I found it (please confirm) - photos below.
From what I saw, it will not be easy to get to it, probably without the procedure described "village" will not happen.
I tried to find an emergency shutdown but I did not succeed - the control panel is difficult to access.
And finally a surprise, after the search is over, the central and alarm works correctly - I wonder how long.

Somewhere there are loose wires. You touched them, looking for the central.

    Welcome back.
After 3 months of trouble-free driving, I decided to go on a longer route, after about 50 km in the car, the smell began to be felt and after a while there was smoke from around the left glove box and the steering column - from the further course, of course, threads (I will note here that after removing the keys from ignition, daytime running lights were still on - I had to unplug the battery to turn it off). After bringing the car home, I started looking for the reason. With the help of the user piotrek22101 (telephone conversation) I was able to locate the short circuit. First, I thought it was the fault of the alarm control panel because I had a problem with it earlier (described above), but it turned out that the automatic daytime running light switching on and off lights module was damaged (the photo shows that it has melted). After unplugging the damaged module (fortunately it was connected to the ankle) the car works fine, but now I have to remember to turn on / off the lights. The damaged module was mounted in my Jark under the steering column. Below I put some photos from the above operation (to reach the alarm control panel I had to dismantle the entire cockpit, while the damaged module could be accessed by removing only the covers on the right from the steering column).

The automatic dipped beam switch has been removed.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2007 Toyota Yaris II experiencing water leakage from the headliner and issues with the car alarm system. The user reports that after winter thaw, water began dripping from the front pillars, coinciding with erratic behavior of the central locking and alarm system. Initial troubleshooting involved checking for leaks, suspected to be from the rear antenna or improperly sealed glass. Users provided guidance on accessing the alarm control panel and suggested that moisture could be causing the alarm malfunctions. After some time, the central locking and alarm functioned normally again, but later, the user encountered smoke and a short circuit related to the daytime running light module. The damaged module was disconnected, restoring normal operation, albeit with manual control of the lights required.
