    And what does not "catch"?
The engine does not start because the starter does not turn or turns but does not start?
The first can be quite simple - a starter, and the second is better to go to a computer diagnosis and check what is missing to start the engine.

after inserting the key, I turn it, all the lights are on but nothing is heard, the engine does not react. I pull out the key again, put it back in and starts it

So not turning the starter? You can sometimes hear a knock / knock from around the engine when you do not want to start after turning the key?
I think you have a car that is too complicated to repair it yourself.
Some loose screwing of the cables with the battery clamp to the starter could be traced, e.g. https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic2479579.html, but you will not check if the engine controllers allow the engine to start, because the key can only be moved by your request to the car's computer to start the engine. Understand ? Then you can not check it on "finger and eye", you need to connect to the computer, because he decides it.
Unless you have a normal ignition switch and it only turns on the starter. Look for such things before they start asking what you have checked, and if you have any engine errors that indicate that you cannot start.
Operation with the key may also indicate car security, alarm or immobilizer.

    Maybe such a solution http://toyota.auto.com.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=108191
