    Hello.
In the Vectra C, the boot opens either from the remote control or from the door button. The button on both the remote control and the door gives a signal and only then can you press the button on the flap and it should open.
However, somewhere along the way there is a malfunction and it does not work. I checked the fuses, wires (those in view I could get to), micro buttons at the lock.
I do not want to give away to an electromechanic because once that old car and two that I want to try to work around the problem myself.
The lock is opened by an electric actuator.
I intend to supply power to the servomotor, put a button in the on / off cabin that will cut off the power. I will hook it under the factory micro button on the lock.
And I have some questions about that.
I would like to press the on / off button for 10 seconds and then disconnect. Can I use a timer for 12V and that's enough? Do I have to give anything else along the way?
And I would also like the remote control to open the hatch.
To this end, I intend to plug into the rear lamp, the indicator.
It would work so that when you hold the button on the flap and press the opening button on the remote control, the indicator would flash and the signal would go to the actuator.
And it's best that both ideas work together.
    Is it possible?

Isn't it better to find the fault? Your idea is paranoia, it can be done but not as easy as you imagine. You are about to set up a new topic that your directions have stopped working :)

Sure, it's better but I don't know if I can do it because I'm not going to drive mechanics from one to another.
Why paranoia, a simple workaround without investing in a car

You think that the flap button will withstand the actuator current, this is not how it works.

What pilot do you have in this Vectra? Old square or new pocket knife? If you have a pocket knife, do you have a boot lid opening button in it? Check if you have rotting pins at the flap button and the actuator.

I don't have a penknife. Plain square remote control with 3 buttons.
I have seen all the contacts, they are good.
Yesterday when I was buried it started to work.
It operated until the damper was closed.
So it comes out as if a wire was broken there by the hinge.
I have to check the meter again

You have a 100% break in this rubber connecting the flap with the body.

    How was the bug fixed?

I made a separate remote control. The trunk opens with a separate button

Here a friend gave you an answer, but as usual, the sculpture won. You're going to lose power on the actuator.

Everything has been working for over 2 years, used trunk is at least several times a day.
    Nothing wrong with that.
I didn't find a break so I managed it so. Cost PLN 0

So the saying "makeshift stays the longest" works. :D .
    Greetings.

I know I didn't fix it as it should be.
We needed a trunk quickly and there was no time to return to some electrician since I didn't find a break.
With the wires it is often so that you move it gently and there will be a passage.
I had the switchboard and the remote control. Wires also some loose in the garage so I did as soon as I did and it works for over 2 years.
And the only thing was to open it.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a malfunction in the electric boot opening mechanism of the Vectra C, which can be activated via remote control or a door button. The user has checked fuses, wires, and micro buttons but is considering a workaround by supplying power to the actuator and using a timer to control the operation. Responses suggest that the issue may stem from a broken wire near the hinge or a fault in the rubber connecting the flap to the body. The user ultimately created a separate remote control to operate the trunk, which has been functioning for over two years without further issues.
