    Hello.

I am asking for help in choosing the LTE antenna.

    Equipment:
    HUAWEI E3372 HiLink modem
    TP-Link TL-MR3420 v2 router
    Antenna: none

    Supplier:
    PLAY, Internet S.

    Parameters from the modem:
    RSSI: -69dBm
    RSRP: -93dBm
    Network: LTE
    "Strength" 4/5 lines

    OOKLA Speedtest (23:45):
    PING 44 ms
    DOWNLOAD 8.83 Mbps
    5.17 Mbps TRANSFER

    Location:
    - Jarosław (37-500), around ul. shooting
    - From a certain place at the facade of the house, I have direct visibility to the chimney of Meat Processing Plant (Przemysłowa 2)
    - Distance about 0.9-1km in a straight line (to the chimney on which I was initially recognized as BTS)
    - The modem is connected directly to the router, without a HUB
    - The router is in the room, currently about 2m from the window (not from the chimney side), due to the optimal WiFi transmission throughout the house. In justified cases I can give the router closer to the window.
    - The computer is connected via WiFi to a router

    Description:
I want to improve the transfer, and mainly for better connection stability. I don't expect spectacular results because the router will be a bottleneck anyway - so antenna budget I would like it to remain as low as possible .

To the point from which I have direct visibility (roof over the added garage) on the Chimney ZM is about 4m, counting from the nearest hole in the wall (window in the bathroom). To maintain the optimal location of the router, I would need about 10m of cable between the antenna and the modem.

At BTS Przemysłowa licenses for LTE1800, LTE2100 and LTE2600 but it is probably LTE800. Do you have the option of forcing specific LTE bands on this E3372, works with LTEWatchH or Toolbox?

    Hello.
In the panel through the browser I can only select the "LTE only" option without indicating the bands. I have never used these applications, if necessary, of course I can run them on the PC - but what should I do with them?

Download http://www.lte-anbieter.info/ltewatch/huawei.php or https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1978345/E5186/E5186%20Toolbox_latest.rar and then log in to them at E3372Hilink. programs show BTS data and signal parameters. They allow you to force LTE bands. force LTE2600, LTE1800, LTE2100 and LTE800 in turn, show screenshots. Do speedtests for each band. By design, LTE2600 is the fastest, Play has 20MHz in MIMO and DL up to 150Mbps here. On LTE1800 it is 10MHz in MIMO and DL up to 75Mbps. On LTE2100 and LTE800 at 5Mhz in MIMO and DL up to 37Mbps. Speeds also depend on BTS load and signal parameters.

    Thanks for the clarification.
The link you provided is no longer valid, but I was able to download Toolbox from:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/x3f5jxw89rjk0i9/E5186%20Toolbox_latest.zip?dl=0

I started the program, the default IP address is entered according to the modem address.
Pressing the Connect button gives the message at the top:
"ERROR WRONG TOKEN" (probably because the application is dedicated to other devices?)

After a while, the following parameters jump in to me.

LTE-Watch starts, after selecting parameters (language, IP) and pressing SAVE, an error pops up as below.

I can't see anything in the Band tab. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Is there a problem with LTE-Watch that it is so "spilled" the program?

Well, that explains a lot :-)
I downloaded the correct one and it works, parameters as below:

I also found the option to manually choose the supplier in the model's web panel:

On the LTEWatchH machine shows connection to LTE1800 Play, sufficient signal parameters. What speed Also force LTE2600 and then LTE2100 and LTE800 and show screenshots and speedtests.

In your opinion, an estimate of how much can be taken from such a set?
Because spending 170 PLN to get 30mbps from 20mbps is fun for me not worth the money.

Drive up to the BTS and do the tests from your side, with the correct LTE1800 signal you can check how busy this sector is on the BTS and what maximum speeds it provides with the perfect signal.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting an appropriate LTE antenna for the HUAWEI E3372 HiLink modem, specifically for a distance of approximately 1 km from the BTS located at a meat processing plant in Jarosław. The user reports signal parameters (RSSI: -69dBm, RSRP: -93dBm) and current download speeds (8.83 Mbps). Participants suggest using LTEWatchH or Toolbox applications to force specific LTE bands (LTE800, LTE1800, LTE2100, LTE2600) to optimize performance. The user successfully tests various bands, noting that LTE1800 and LTE2100 provide reasonable speeds, while LTE2600 and LTE800 fail to connect. Recommendations include a dual LTE antenna compatible with the modem, emphasizing the importance of testing speeds directly at the BTS to assess potential improvements.
