Hello! Does anyone know what the warranty for ADATA SSDs looks like?
At online auctions there are a lot of opportunities to buy new, unpacked pieces, but they are all from some promotions and have no proof of purchase or warranty cards.
Can such a disc be replaced in the event of a breakdown, or is it a pig in a poke?

The seller cannot refuse to accept a complaint just because we do not have a receipt. Showing a receipt is only one way to prove that we bought the goods in a given store, for a specific price and on a specific day. The rights of consumers related to the advertising of goods not complying with the contract (e.g. defective) are regulated by the Act of 27 July 2002 on special conditions of consumer sales and amending the Civil Code. It does not indicate the documents that the buyer must attach when submitting a complaint to the seller for defective goods. No provision stipulates that the condition for accepting a complaint is the submission of a receipt or VAT invoice. The customer can prove in any way that he bought the goods from the seller and when it happened. Such proof will be, for example, the bank statement of the payment card used during the transaction. When paying in cash, this will be more difficult, but it can be demonstrated, for example by witness testimony or by explanation of the parties

It is better, however, to ask the manufacturer how he views it.

The seller is not obliged to give a guarantee the more for something that is not new (exhibition, return from the buyer, etc. etc. This is not new - at most little used). For this you have the full right to return these allegras (statutory with the rest) 14 days or how much. So you will test and see if you kicked what you wanted.
ADATA clearly states in the RMA that proof of purchase is necessary. This does not apply only to RAM and memory cards because they have a "lifetime" guarantee. Also, think about the occasion you are talking about. Even if you persuade ADATA to cooperate, shipping to Taiwan costs a little and lasts a long time (they are also not the fastest, my SD card "repaired" for over 30 days, sent by registered mail to fly 15 working days).

In general, the point is that there is a lot of opportunity to buy an ADATA drive at a good price and in a new package. Unfortunately, most sellers when asked about proof of purchase claim that it is a gift and non-paper.

I asked a question on the fb profile of the adata and received the answer that without proof of purchase the guarantee will not accept, strange because they have a serial number database and know when the disk was manufactured.

Why weird How should ADATA check when you are guaranteed without the date of purchase? The warranty flies from the first sale to the final recipient, not every subsequent one.
Look more at the SMART disk. What course does it have. Sometimes such disks are out of the way. I don't know what people do with them but when they finish they sell fully functional with pure SMART. And this is somewhat true - but the records are exhausted or almost exhausted.

Buddy, if someone writes that the disk is originally packed and unopened, how is it supposed to get?

In addition, after all, the company knows when a specific copy went on sale, and even if it can provide a guarantee from that moment, all you have to do is want.

If you're talking about pre-packaged, they're actually new.

In theory, they could. But they don't do that and that's it. You can't help it. In WD drives, you can check the guarantees on their website by serial number - you can see they register sales. and ADATA doesn't.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the warranty policy for ADATA SSDs purchased from online auctions without proof of purchase. Participants highlight that while a receipt is a common form of proof, it is not strictly necessary for filing a warranty claim under consumer rights laws. However, ADATA's warranty policy explicitly requires proof of purchase for SSDs, unlike their RAM and memory cards, which have a lifetime guarantee. Concerns are raised about the reliability of purchasing unpacked drives, as sellers often claim items are gifts and lack documentation. The warranty is tied to the first sale, making it difficult for subsequent buyers to claim warranty service without original purchase evidence. Users suggest checking the SMART status of drives before purchase to assess their condition.
