    Hello,
how to activate daytime running lights in VCDS? The car has facelift lamps with P21W bulbs to perform this function, but I don't know how to activate them, the Bortnetz version is 7H0 937 086 B, do you still need to replace the lighting switch? At the moment I have 3 positions + rear fog.
    Regards

Try to hold the turn signal handle turned on right towards you "on long flash" and turn on the ignition for 5 seconds. In octavia 2, passat works
    Deactivate left.

    Hello!
I would connect daytime running lamps in a very simple way, namely:
I would install LED lamps because they consume very little power if there were no additional lamps in the car. In the permanently mounted lamps I would only change the light bulbs to LEDs. I would disconnect the power of these lamps and connect as described.
Connecting additional lamps. I would use a relay with contacts connected to the power supply. When the coil gets voltage it disconnects them.
I would connect daytime running lamps to the power contact.
Relay power supply is connected with voltage after turning the key. Relay coil one end to ground and the other to the dipped beam. When the key is turned to start the engine, the daytime running lights are on when the dipped headlights are switched on, the daytime running lights go out.
To make my life easier, I would additionally use a relay to turn off the car interior lights and the lights turn off after a few seconds.
Just insert it between the ignition supply and the relay from the additional lights, connect properly. The effect is that I start the engine and after a few minutes the lights come on. / There are a lot of different time switches on the Internet / you can use them /. As I described, I don't have to think if my lights are on. Regards Miro. Ours

To be honest, I would prefer to stick to the original, especially since I think it is a matter of proper coding.

    Hello!
What I described is for a car in which the computer no longer works and the installation was already buried. Here I would risk changing the bulbs to LEDs but after factory settings on the computer. Changing the bulbs may show an error.
If I can get the data to my computer, I'll give it to you.

    Hello.
I drive a VW T5 FL at work for business and I was also annoyed by the daytime running lights that were on non-stop. One day I couldn't stand it and by trial and error (checking every byte in the long coding) I found a way. In my car sits the central electrics module 7E0937090D. Ordinary H4 lamps with direction and 21W daytime running lights.
And this is how I did it:
    Central electrical system -09
    Long coding -07
    Byte -23
Bit - 6 (daytime running lights Scandinavia)
Bit - 5 (daytime running lights active together with position lights)
Bit - 4 (US daytime running lights with handbrake)
Bit - 3 (daytime running lights with halogens)
Bit - 2 (daytime running lights in dipped headlights)
This is what it looks like with me, maybe someone will find it useful. In the registration certificate I have the 2016 year of production but it is 100% the last release of the T5 FL. Activating or deactivating the DRLs with the handle (indicator + hold on high beam) does not work.

    Hello and welcome,

I have a vw Transporter T5 FL 2010 raw with comfort module 7h0937086b.
Can I activate the daytime running lights?
In Byte 23 it is not possible to activate the lights.
    Need to replace a module?

    Hello.
More on the subject I can't help. To the fact that I set the daytime running lights like this is just a coincidence. Maybe the module with my numbers is just coded that way.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around activating Daytime Running Lights (DRL) on a 2010 VW T5 with facelift lamps and P21W bulbs using VCDS. The original poster seeks guidance on the activation process, mentioning their Bortnetz version (7H0 937 086 B) and questioning whether a lighting switch replacement is necessary. Various responses suggest methods for activation, including coding adjustments in the central electric module and using relays for additional lamps. One user shares specific coding instructions for the central electric system, while another expresses a preference for maintaining original settings. Concerns about potential errors from changing bulbs to LEDs are also noted.
