Hello. I have such a problem here that in Mondeo mk4 2008 the hands have stopped working, and only half of the display between the clocks works. Today I noticed one thing - after unscrewing the right screw from the meter and tilting it by about 1.5 cm, the clocks returned to their work and the whole display works. After tightening, nothing works again. I spun it into parts one and found nothing
Anyone have any idea? Path, mass on the plate? Or something else?

Connectors on the back of the wardrobe, cold February there or a cracked path - look for cold solders and a magnifying glass of cracked paths throughout.

Hello. Check the plugs that are on the back of the meter whether they sit well and do not have slack individual wires, the rest as a colleague above wrote

    Hello, very common ladder resistor RN1403 47 Ω x4.

Topic summary

The 2008 Mondeo Mk4 exhibits malfunctioning speedometer hands and partial display operation. The issue temporarily resolves when loosening the right screw on the instrument cluster and slightly tilting it, but returns upon retightening. Diagnostic suggestions focus on inspecting the connectors and solder joints on the back of the instrument cluster for cold solder joints ("cold February") and cracked PCB traces. Cleaning the socket and plug contacts and examining them under magnification is recommended. A common failure point includes the ladder resistor RN1403 (47 Ω x4), which may contribute to display and gauge inconsistencies.
