    FIAT Doblo. year 2006, 1.3 multijet, 75HP.

New car in our hands, so I exclude some drunkenness.

The problem is that there is a problem with firing recently - the indication on the immobilizer [yellow light - car with a padlock is on].
Initially, I thought it was immo - but I ruled it out, and I bet on a different electrical problem because:
1., however, sometimes it fires [supposedly randomly], but you can see a dependence that either how a few days it stays, or how to leave it outside - so maybe how does moisture get somewhere and it connects temporarily?
In turn, when it comes longer, it will heat up in the engine compartment and maybe dry up? - after turning off, it does not smoke again.
    2. it has happened that while driving, all the lights suddenly come on, blink and then go out
3.I can not connect the cable with FES - I connected it earlier and it worked, but now it does not connect, it only applies to the engine - the cushions are connected.
    4. one more thing, maybe also in connection with - you cannot use the code card - the car does not respond to the procedure described in the manual, i.e. after turning the ignition switch and pressing the gas all the way - the engine light does not come on.

So when you try to fire, the starter spins, no effect.

In addition, I talked to the ASO, they also surprisingly instead of trying to convince me to replace half of the electrics, they also think that it will not be immo, they only suggested checking the mass.
If there was a problem with the immobilizer, it would be permanent - certainly not that once it works, once it does not.

The version with tarnished electrics would also fit the fact that the problems started now, after winter, and the fact that the car only goes around the chimney a few kilometers a day and is parked in a heated hall.

What I did was, I got to the fuse and relay box under the hood, unfastened everything and reattached it again, also the plugs from the bottom, each fuse and relay in turn.
In addition, I found a fairly corroded mass on the glow plug relay, but cleaning it also did not help, anyway, it would probably be a problem with candles in this case.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem or could you suggest where to look for a solution?
Or is there a ground connection somewhere that "traditionally" causes problems?

They know what they say, the connecting cable is the most common: gearbox (engine) - body.

Oh, so look for braids probably, do they no longer use braided lines in today's motors?

But should the starter also have problems then?
    meanwhile it turns very nicely.

However, thanks - any advice will be useful, I will check it.

Fasten with clamps to start the battery with the engine (ground), or with the ECU housing, briefly from the - battery and you will find out if it lacks weight.

There is no braid as such, it is such a thick cable as the mass cable for the battery.

Do as KarizmoGSM writes, because the cables break inside and sometimes you can't see it.

ok i understand i will try further.

The mass seems to catch everywhere - I measured the transition between the clamp and the frame, engine, ECU - it is everywhere, without any additional resistance.
In addition, when measuring the voltage - plus the battery, the second meter lead to the above-mentioned masses - each time the voltage of 12.67V, identical to directly on the battery.

But there may still be a problem with this weight?

Then check the power supply on the ECU

Ok, in our case, unfortunately, the problem turned out to be in the ECU.
So all the grounds and wires are functional.
It had to be replaced and everything works.
thank you for the response and close.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around electrical issues in a 2006 Fiat Doblo 1.3 Multijet 75HP, specifically related to the immobilizer light activation and intermittent starting problems. The user suspects an electrical fault rather than a malfunctioning immobilizer, noting that the vehicle sometimes starts after being left outside, possibly indicating moisture-related issues. Responses suggest checking the grounding connections, particularly the mass cable, and ensuring proper power supply to the ECU. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a faulty ECU, which required replacement to resolve the issues.
