    Good morning

    Problem fiat doblo 1.6 multijet 105km 2012

I hope someone can help me because I'm doing really a lot of kilometers a day and from yesterday I started to blink the oil lamp and the message replace the engine oil, which I exchanged about 7 thousand ago. I checked the condition of the oil on a warm engine and I'm sure there is no shortage of it. Although one mechanic tells me that I should check the oil on a warm engine and another one on the cold ... So I'm stupid myself. I would not like to worsen the situation, therefore I am asking you for help. I still have a separate question because I noticed that from time to time it sounds as if the car sounds louder than the engine work, usually for a short time. Can it be a fan which sometimes just louder can walk? -Most km I make on highways, i.e. quite high speed. GREETINGS

Used engine oil. You have a viscosity sensor that generates this signal.
The reason may be just overworked oil which caused the used engine or was wrongly selected. There may also be a faulty sensor. The mechanic will check it out.

You must tell the engine driver that you changed the oil. He does not know it.
    Use a diagnostic tester.

Fiat diesel controls the control based on two parameters:
    a) analysis of the oil condition shows that it is "worn"
    b) counting the number of burnings occurring in the particulate filter, after exceeding a certain value, it is assumed that the oil should be changed

Quote from the Delphi sensor instructions:
    Quote:
The oil condition sensor in Delphi diesel engines monitors the condition
oil inside the engine. The sensor precisely detects the soot that absorbs
oil additives and contributes to the wear of the engine. The sensor works on
principle of measuring the conductivity of alternating current with frequencies 2-5
MHz. It also measures dielectric constant and viscosity (only in oil
stationary) and can detect the dilution with fuel - all in
a small, integrated housing. In addition, the engine oil level sensor
Delphi diesel can be configured to measure the oil level, depending
from the needs of individual clients.

Hello, I have the same problem but 4 years later with the same note !! What was the fault ?????? Why did he show oil changes ?? Thank you for the hint ?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2012 Fiat Doblo 1.6 Multijet experiencing a flickering oil lamp and an engine noise issue. The user reports that the oil lamp began blinking and a message to replace the engine oil appeared, despite having changed the oil 7,000 kilometers ago. Confusion arises regarding the correct method to check oil levels, with differing advice from mechanics about checking oil on warm versus cold engines. Responses suggest that the flickering oil lamp may be due to a viscosity sensor indicating worn oil or a faulty sensor. Additionally, it is noted that Fiat diesel engines monitor oil condition and particulate filter burnings to determine oil change intervals. One user shares a similar experience from four years later, seeking insights into the cause of the oil change alert.
