Let my friend not start America's subject with me. Overseas, they do not know what we have to worry about in Europe. My private opinion related to the US is that the whole world is zap. (... races) only so that the US can revel and enjoy life. I only regret one. A few years ago I was able to win a 6-day trip to Washington. I visited a bit and I regret that I did not give my feet this tour.
I will skip the standard of life because with the naked eye you can see that if someone wants it, it really has and will remain on the subject of motorization. I've looked where I can

and one thing I noticed - there probably are no classic cars. Classic in my opinion is a CLASSIC for little money. Classic with typically Romanian equipment
I did not see on the streets of the pow. 2000 which would not be in the so-called full graze. Leather, climate, heated windscreens, armchairs and others are the norm. We have a lot of BMW, Ford and Mercedes from our European cars. A little less AUDI. The least VW. Skoda, Seat, Daewoo

, KIA, cheap Hyundai - zero. Another world and I admit that the tear in my eye is why I do not want to go anywhere. I met one Pole. 17USD in the construction of roofs. 17USD on hand for an hour for an ordinary construction worker and that there was - I also saw a job check

it is the excavator that fell for me and it fell because in comparison with incomes it is there everything is cheaper than in ours. Fuel too.
However, in order not to cry, I will come back to the topic of cars.
From what I learned about cars, our compatriots have European cars somewhere. Apparently they are expensive to maintain (repairs) and very very unstable.
There, the old Cadillacs have a mileage on the bubble (in miles!) And they are flying and our European shocks are said to be 300-400kkm and up to the sand. Nobody wants it.
And apparently, there is only one sentence about Europe in the USA. It seems that every American in the first place will say that Europe is a land in which there is legal oppression, that we have no freedom of speech, that there is no pay for work and everything we produce is said to be at once. And honestly, they're probably right.
A good class laptop, for example, HP in a supermarket costs, say, 400 USD.
Do not look at internet prices because they have nothing to do with reality and are often stretched to earn on foreign trade.
With us in the store and I remember exactly (6450b, i7-720QM, 4GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Win7) it cost 5499 PLN. The same laptop with 8GB RAM and 250GB there cost 499 USD. And now Polish roof builder with 13 PLN / h net hula at work 423 hours to earn for this equipment and an American with 17USD / h works only 30 hours or 3 days. America! What to hide!
The same is with cars. With us in Poland, some pile of Focus type scrap from 2000-2001-2002 can cost PLN 8,000-10000.
The only problem is that in the US, such Focus (and I was in drug stations!) Costs 200-300 bucks. It really is. Someone will probably say that insurance will be more expensive. Not true because I checked it too. There is practically no big difference in insurance for a 16-year-old compared to a 5-year-old.
With us on Focus the construction worker works (PLN 10000) 770 hours and the American construction worker on the same Focus only takes 18 hours.
If in the future they "take off" a visa to the US, it would be by kayak, but I know that!
I will sell everything for saleeven if I had to land barefoot on the other side and start from scratch because so honestly when it comes to material earning, it's 6 months of hard work that is converted into our 3 years and this minimum.
Let's take a new classic car for PLN 75,000.
Let's take the salaries of builders.
PLN 75,000 / PLN 13 = 5769 hours = 577 10-hour changes at work, or 577 days.
PLN 75,000 / PLN 4 = 18750 $ / 17 $ = 1102h or 110 working days.
110 days is less than 4 months
and believe me on the word of honor - life is cheaper there. $ 200 a month for food will be hard to eat alone.

Back to the topic Passat / Jetta vs Octavia / Superb
I have the impression that Skoda is a solution to the crisis.
it simply sells slightly less retrofitted Passages with another stamp for normal money. It also seems to me that Skoda reveals the real value of VW because watching the Passat for 156000 PLN is hard to find a difference of 75000 PLN, unless this upholstery, badge and a few others really cost 75000 PLN.
