Hello. I would like to adapt the new driver No. 8D0907558DA with 1.8T AJL instead of 06A906018GA 1.8T AGU. Unfortunately, the standard adaptation procedure failed because the driver needs a PIN (I read in the net that until 05.1999 you did not need to have a PIN, and my ECU is from 10.1999). I tried Vag Commander to download the PIN and unfortunately I can't download the EEPROM. While reading the PIN from the meter, a three-digit PIN appears - I thought there were to be 4 digits, and with the adaptation add 0 at the beginning of the read code. A few questions:

    1. Will it be possible to read the PIN necessary to adapt this ECU differently than on any electronics table? If so, what program?
    2. Adapt this ECU according to the adaptation procedure as for IMMO3?
    3. Is the PIN read from the meter correct? I wanted to check if it is the same in the ECU that is in the car but it also does not read the EEPROM ..

Any suggestions and help are welcome. I am from around Wroclaw, I can also come over to someone to talk about this matter :)

    greetings

As for immo, it's best to throw an emulator because I don't know if you will succeed at all with this assignment combination, after that you want to replace the M3.8.3 driver with the M3.8.2 driver so I can see it darkly.
As for me, the recombined way to increase the power?

Yes, it is actually a budget way to increase power and is quite popular. Chip tuning probably will give a little better results, but it's hard for a good tuner to do it for reasonable money. Generally, I do not have pressure to increase the power "wire tuning" I treat it as a curiosity.

Anyone else add some advice to bite the topic?

And you won't find one in addition to gasoline. You have to pay well.

As for immo, if you want to use the emulator it is also not known whether it will go without editing in memory. Again, you'll be in a pinch, unless you have the programmer and walkthroughs OK, you will jump at the topic in a moment.

The emulator easily reflects immo without any batch editing, batch editing is only needed before the total immo off.

    Not in every driver

Hmm, what do you mean total immo off?

ECU conversion would not require a permission signal from immo, the use of an emulator is only to provide an external signal to start the car. There are systems where you need to edit the emulator input, but in this case it is immo2 where there is no such need, at least I have never had to do such a thing before.

Hello. I ordered the IMMO to be removed from the controller, installed and fired normally the indicator does not light. Unfortunately, it probably was not done expertly i.e. now appears error 16989 ROM error probably now checksum does not match? The question is, can I ride with this error? Any suggestions?

you didn't want it professionally, unfortunately you have to deal with side effects more than once.

I commissioned a company that deals with such services and I paid for this service knowing that it will be ok. So I don't understand where I mentioned that I wanted to have IMMO removed "not professionally".
I tried to delete myself, in newer drivers you can do it with Vag Commander and it works without problems. I got some good answers on priv related to the emulator, but I wanted to have a driver with software immobilizer.

Returning to the side effects, what are they besides the error in the controller? Does it affect the work or engine parameters?

immo off is not professional anymore
second thing, replacing the driver with another one that does not match the car in order to increase the power is also not professional and here may be your surprise in some time ....
Why didn't you order an increase in power in org. driver?

As I mentioned at the beginning, it treats it as a curiosity because I got the driver for a bottle from my cousin (in total we drank it together hehe) he was unnecessary after breaking his audi ...
What do you mean by saying that there will be surprise? The engine will say bye? The differences in these engines are negligible. I checked the dynamic logs and it's ok. The flow meter measures the 150 g / s probe richly to the very end. N75 activation oscillates around 65%. The engine does not have a boost pressure sensor but in group 25 it can be seen that it maintains the corrected load to the end. It is true that the engine is on a narrowband probe and really only with a friend I will check what the affr looks like at the section, then you will be sure.
Increasing the power in the original controller costs PLN 1200 - PLN 1500, the effect will probably be similar. I don't have the pressure to increase power - the car is old and it doesn't pay to do some things anymore.
By the way, I have the impression that the car is driving better on this driver and I do not mean power only the culture of engine work developing power. Maybe Audi puts "better drivers" into its car? Or maybe it's the placebo effect hehe

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the adaptation of a new ECU (Electronic Control Unit) with part number 8D0907558DA for a 1.8T AJL engine, replacing the original 06A906018GA 1.8T AGU. The user faces challenges due to the need for a PIN for adaptation, which is not required for ECUs manufactured before May 1999. Attempts to retrieve the PIN using Vag Commander were unsuccessful, and the user questions the validity of a three-digit PIN obtained from the meter. Suggestions include using an emulator for IMMO (immobilizer) issues, but concerns arise regarding the potential need for memory editing. The user later reports an error (16989 ROM error) after commissioning IMMO removal, questioning the implications of this error on vehicle performance. The conversation highlights the complexities of ECU adaptation, the importance of professional services, and the risks associated with non-standard modifications.
