Hello, I have a problem with the Nac x510hvy mower, namely after winter I changed the oil, sharpened the knife, changed the pipe from the candle because the old one was cut off. After the first attempt of firing, the mower fired and walked normally but kicked it black, after a while I extinguished it and since then I do not want to fire. I cleaned the air filter, the entire carburette, but it did not do anything. The spark is there, the fuel comes in because the candle burns after many attempts to fire and the mower does not work any further. Please help. I could not find the right department because I chose this one

You did not specify your engine, so I assume that there is a top-notch engine, signed as NAC, e.g. T675. If so, I would suggest:

1 / unscrew the valve cover (such as OHV) and check if there is too much oil, which when changing the oil and operations with the knife certainly got there by dimming.
2 / unscrewing the spark plug and blowing oil and fuel residues out of the cylinder.

When starting a cold engine carefully with pumping fuel, because this engine is easy to pour.

Thanks for your help, I'll check and write what and how ? tomorrow

Added after 10 [hours] 26 [minutes]:

Now the mower walks for about 10 seconds and goes out, but when instead of the air filter, I put a cloth all the time but the problem is that it shoots fire from the filter cover ?

I still do not know your engine.

After cleaning the carburetor, it may turn out that the engine will only work properly on the original fresh air filter. If it is a NAC engine, there is a paper filter and so-called. pre-filter (piece of sponge). The pre-filter must be washed in detergent and lightly soaked with motor oil.
The paper air filter must be replaced with a new one.

I hope you did not start the engine without the knife mounted.

Hello. I know the case when during the disassembly operation, the mower was tilted too much which caused a kick at the initial firing and consequently the machine was not started. Green World mower, Brigs & Straton 625 engine, paper air filter. Cleaning did not help. The machine was almost new, it worked 2 months. Only replacing the filter with a new one helped. Maybe in this case it will help? It all depends on whether it was flooded with oil or not?
He shoots fire because the composition of the mixture is not suitable - too much air because there is no filter. It is very difficult to replace the original filter with something else with adequate air throughput.

This is a NAC engine. All my previous comments are current. I will just add that if you start the engine, you can help him in the self-cleaning of residual oil by pumping fuel when the engine starts to lose speed. Try not to extinguish the engine, if it smokes or unevenly worked, so be it - I think it will finally settle itself.

I assume, of course, that you have done the cleaning of the carburetor exactly, the throttle regulator rods are not bent, and the air filter will be new.

Colleague @ timon125 he wrote the right note.

A new filter has arrived today. At the beginning after firing the mower went out after a few seconds, but when the fuel pumped it went all the time, after some time she started to work without the help of a pump, but the speed of flew, after turning on the drive and entering the grass the engine loses power and goes out. When the fuel pumped up, the mower could handle the grass and the revolutions did not wave. I tried to adjust through the screw on the amount of air, but it did not help

In my opinion, you should repeat the carburetor cleaning, but this time with the main nozzle removed and the plastic carburetor removed from the top. After that I would look at the seals of the carburetor connection with the cylinder and the air filter housing. It may be necessary to make gaskets - from the side of the filter housing it is originally a combination of plastic and plastic.

Let me remind you that in the first post you wrote about the problems after sharpening the knife and changing the oil. I therefore decided that the carburetor was flooded with oil, which is a fairly common case. Since I do not know the quality of the activities you have done, and you do not describe them accurately, I suggest repeating them and additionally trying to seal the entire intake system. I understand that the carburetor for cleaning is removable, which may additionally affect the tightness of the intake.

I am asking you to carry out your activities accurately and describe them, because we must be sure of something. Otherwise, we will pursue the heel.

The gaskets that we are interested in that may be damaged when removing the carburetor are:

1 / air filter base gasket (thick plastic.) On its surface, there are risers that can be opened link

2 / gasket under the carburettor (large plastic, can be torn when separating it from the carburetor) link

The gasket 1 is between the carburettor and the air filter housing, the gasket number 2 is between the carburettor and the engine block.

When removing the carburettor, it is important not to damage the spring and pull rod of the speed controller hooked to the throttle lever of the carburetor.

Pay attention to the tightness when screwing, thoroughly clean the element before applying the gasket, to be sure to use new gaskets.

The mower is already working, the problem was in the speed controller, but everything has already been done. Thank you all for your help. I close the topic

The report came: Let the author describe exactly what was the cause of the damage or give the opportunity to ask questions because at the moment I am curious for the future what caused the damage. A colleague has similar concerns in a similar mower. Why set up a new topic if you can find out something meaningful, the only author described the removal of the fault. Maybe a colleague would like to share the solution? I open the topic again.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues faced with the NAC X510HVY mower after winter storage. The user reported problems starting the mower despite changing the oil, sharpening the blade, and replacing the spark plug pipe. Initial attempts to start the mower resulted in black smoke and eventual failure to start. Various troubleshooting steps were suggested, including checking for excess oil in the valve cover, cleaning the carburetor, and ensuring the air filter was in good condition. The user later confirmed that the mower started briefly but struggled under load, leading to further adjustments and cleaning of the carburetor. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by addressing the speed controller, allowing the mower to function properly.
