Hello. Something broke in my factory plate changer on the BMW E39. The mechanism was stuck in a position where one of the magazine pockets with the disc was ejected and should play, but it stopped playing.
When I tried to change the CD to another on the radio, the mechanism as if trying to pick it up and eject it, but it stopped and the tray with the CD did not slide back into the magazine.
There are handles on both sides of the changer, which you can use to adjust its position, because sometimes after adjustment the mechanism started to work properly, but this time it did not work, I tried all the settings and the mechanism was still blocked.
So I unscrewed the changer, manually inserted the tray with the plate into the magazine and took out the magazine. I put it back together and it turned out that now, when I put the magazine in, it does not take the discs (after inserting the magazine, the changer should check all the disc trays). As before, the mechanism grinds something there, but it is blocked and does nothing. Even when I press the magazine ejection button, something moves in the mechanism but it will not eject it.
Is this a known bug and there is a solution to it? I know that used changers on the Internet are not expensive (about PLN 70 with shipping), but I feel sorry to throw it away and if possible, I would like to save her.
