    Hello

Yesterday I turned off the LG 42 LED TV. Today I attached and flashed only the sign of LG. A sound is heard. As I get closer to the screen you can see the outlines. For example, I can see the contours of the menu. Almost the nose at the screen can be chosen from the menu. I tried hard reset tv and it did not help. I turned on the tv and checked the capacitors and everything in my opinion ok. The symptom was like there was no backlighting of the picture. I have no idea what to do. I am asking for advice. Is it worth fixing what a defect is? In whether or not a matrix should fall.

    Hello.
Provide the exact model of this TV. Give also his cast (markings of the motherboard, power supply, etc.), you can upload good quality photos of these components on the Forum - you will be able to tell specifically what you should "take a look at".
Check the voltage supplied by the power supply.

LG 42LA620S model in my opinion everything on the power board is ok. Lack of blackened elements, bulging capacitors. For me, the problem will be the lack of matrix backlight. I do not have a meter and it's hard for me to check the voltage on the power supply.

    Hello.
You have a broken backlight. At 80%, I'm damaging the backlight in the matrix, and 20% damage to the power supply. One way or another you need to take measurements in the power supply and the matter will be cleared up.

However, it turned out that the matrix backlight was damaged. I replaced the yellow power supply board and the same. The question is whether such a backlight can be repaired on its own? How to do it and whether it pays off? If so, I would ask for step by step help how to do it? Thanks in advance for the hint.

If you do not have experience with matrices, it is better not to take it, it is easy to damage the matrix.
