    Hello. Such a car:
    https://www.autocentrum.pl/dane-techniczne/op...hback/silnik-benzynowy-1.6-8v-75km-1998-2000/

Purchased recently. And a problem with the radio. Radio, probably original. Somehow it started somehow (but after 15-20 clicks on the enable button). Now it does not work even after 50 clicks, but something the radio reacts to. When I press "code" (that is, pull out the panel), the display says "panel", when I press the "turn on" button and turn it clockwise, it looks as if it was happening and the display says "safe". I have no idea what this is about. This is a radio malfunction, can't I turn it on?

Okay. I found something like this:
    http://forum.opel24.com/topic/1591-jak-odkodowac-oryginalne-radio-w-astrze-ii/

And the code can be entered, but where is it? Is it somehow on the back of the radio panel or a note attached to the keys? (I tried with a key card, because there are four numbers, but this code probably does not match - I tried in the second place 0 and 8, no option matches, so it's probably not the code). Can the code be found in the car's documents?

There should be a book from the radio and there is a code in it

The code is for the radio to be started by the legal owner (who has the radio documents).
The manufacturer never gives the code on the housing.
The code is in the radio's memory. Experienced electronic engineers can read it.

If you do not have a code, only read from 24c16 memory. If you have a little idea and a programmer, I can help with reading.

Okay, I found some code in the papers. There's this (I think) radio book. And now I'm a linden, because I don't want to enable the procedure of entering the code. I turn on the ignition, the lights are on, I hold the AS button, turn on the radio and again I see the mean "7 SAFE" inscription instead of the fields to enter numbers. Probably these radio buttons are somehow eaten ... that once they catch and once they don't. Well, that's my problem.

PS 7 because I already used 3 tests.

Wait calmly on the radio and ignition on until "- - - -" appears instead of SAFE

In the video you can see that the radio switch is working properly. Since you entered the wrong code three times, you must now wait for some time to think about whether you have the correct code.
    - switch on the ignition and holding the AS switch on the radio. After the "7 SAFE" lights up, leave the radio in this state until "7 ----" appears on the display. Then set the correct radio code and confirm by holding down AS> 3sec. The waiting time for 7 ---- is 14 minutes. If the code turns out to be incorrect, then 6 SAFE will appear and then the waiting time will double (28 minutes).

Oh ... and that's the concrete answer. And before I do that I have a question. Because I read that if you leave the car on ignition, you can burn the ignition coil and in general it is not too "healthy" for the car, because something, something ... people wrote things. Can I take the ignition, turn on the radio and turn 1 position down? Because then the radio also works. Is the ignition position rather necessary?

EDIT: About Japan ... WORKS :) . How much does a man bother about a stupid radio, and if he had the knowledge how to decode it, he would have done it in 2 minutes. Thanks a lot "ikar55" and I would remain who helped me.

PS I did not keep the car on ignition, only on the position "1 down" from the ignition.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around activating the original radio in an Opel Astra G, which has entered "safe mode" after multiple incorrect code entries. Users emphasize the necessity of entering the correct radio code, which is typically found in the radio's documentation or memory. If the code is unavailable, it can be retrieved by experienced technicians. The process to unlock the radio involves waiting for the display to change from "SAFE" to "----" after holding the AS button while turning on the ignition. Concerns about leaving the ignition on for extended periods are addressed, with a suggestion to use the first position of the ignition instead. The user successfully resolves the issue by following the outlined steps.
