hello i need help. I recently bought a Fiat Ducato 2.5D 1996 car

I have a problem with it. short or long lights do not shine. When switching the switch short - long and vice versa, you can hear that the relays are working, i.e. they click but no indicator lights up how to turn on the long lights so the switch works for a short time and the light on the meter lights up. Light bulbs are of course good, I am asking you for help.

See if the light switch is OK, check the fuses,
Do the rear and parking lights work?

no siemka fuses I checked are all relays are 2 from short to one and from long to the other. I changed them for something else. as if the current from the relays does not go out on the fuses because there is no voltage in the fuses

    Hello .
If the relays are ticking, check that they have DC power supply at terminal 30 and that there is voltage at their output at terminal 87. There may be relays burnt and hence this effect.

when it came to relays, the current appeared on them only then when I switched the switch at the steering wheel constant current was not.
at the moment I do not have a car under the house because I change the engine shells are over next week I will see the relays and write back

Hello, I'm sorry I haven't spoken for so long, I haven't been to Poland. I came to order what is with these lights first there was no permanent plus tarnished wires under the hood on the right fender secondly someone changed the output wires from the fuses and instead of going out the lamps was connected elsewhere. Thanks to nikusert for the hint with relays

since the lights I did, I consider the topic closed, thanks a lot for your help

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting lighting issues in a 1996 Fiat Ducato 2.5D, specifically the absence of low and high beam functionality. The user reports that while the relays click when the switch is activated, no lights illuminate. Initial suggestions include checking the light switch and fuses, which the user confirms are functional. Further investigation reveals that the relays receive power only when the switch is engaged, indicating potential wiring issues. The user ultimately identifies corroded wires and incorrect connections from the fuses as the root cause, leading to a resolution of the lighting problem.
