Good evening, the car as in the topic, the wipers work efficiently but only in the 1st and 2nd gear, the problem is with the timing, once it works and not. Is there an external time relay in these cars or is it in the body or in the wiper motor.
Thank you in advance for your answer and best regards.

    More like a wiper motor.

Thank you for your willingness to help, but "rather" nothing helped me, please let me know, if someone had such a problem, if it's Bsi, I won't touch the Body, I don't have equipment to control the wipers, but if it's "analog", that is, a relay wipers, I'll get it. I am asking for some info - how is time trial control.
    Best regards.

Thank you for your help, I think the diagram will help me a lot, especially the settings in relation to the rain sensor ... I think there may be a reason. Best wishes.

Hello, I will connect to the already archived post, but maybe someone will notice it ...
I have the same problem with the wipers time mode but in Duki from 2014 after the lifts.
The description and diagram that was attached to the post began to clarify the system image for me, but I am asking for a hint where to look for the reason further.
To make it more interesting, I have a car with a rain sensor:
When the intermittent (automatic) mode is turned on, it is signaled with one wave of the wipers (as the manual describes), but it ends there. Manual mode cannot be forced.
The rain sensor works, because when disconnecting the cube, the computer immediately shows the sensor failure, when it is connected, the computer remains calm.
Logically analyzing the behavior of the wipers, I suspect that there may be a problem somewhere on the circuit to pin 2 of the wiper motor, or in the relay in the fuse box.
I just can't read how to locate this relay.
The things that I can easily check are the condition of the contacts, but how to find a damaged element, without replacements?
Or maybe the scanning of the computer will bring something?
By the way, I will add that the reversing sensors also work for me, but it probably has no relation?

Thanks to everyone for not having any hints ;)
However, I was able to identify the problem and eliminate it, so I share the solution, maybe it will be of use to someone :)
It turned out that my car was missing one small element without which the rain sensor could not work properly.
Namely, it is a gel spacer between the sensor and the glass :(
Thanks to it, the sensor should tightly adhere to the glass, and thus the light rays should pass continuously to the sensor.
Probably, someone who was not very familiar had replaced the sensor earlier, or maybe the glass was replaced and this little thing was not taken care of.
There is also a probability that the factory "jelly" has dried (which apparently also happens) and was thrown away.
The mentioned gel spacer can be bought, for example, on the Allegro for several dozen zlotys.
After installation, everything started to spin like new :)
    Greetings to everyone !!!

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the intermittent wiper failure in a 2009 Fiat Ducato 3, where the wipers operate only in the first two speeds but malfunction in timed mode. Users speculate on potential causes, including issues with the wiper motor, body control module (BSI), or relay systems. One user shares a similar experience with a 2014 model, indicating a possible fault in the circuit or relay. Ultimately, a solution is found involving the installation of a gel spacer for the rain sensor, which is crucial for its proper functioning. This spacer ensures the sensor adheres correctly to the glass, allowing it to operate effectively.
