Hello, my problem is that one day without changing anything, the laptop began to lose the WiFi signal in the room where he always had it. I have a modem set up in a room and only there the laptop connects to it, when I want to use it in another room the connection disappears and it is not possible to search for any network. The laptop is from HP, the modem is orange funbox 2.0. This situation happened overnight. Please help, best regards.

    First, reset the Funbox.
If you still do not want to cooperate then definitely visit the site. I already mentioned one and the next one breaks the WiFi connection.

The problem is that the internet on a landline works normally and on other devices throughout the house, WiFi normally catches.

Replacing the Funbox will do nothing if the walls are thick and the WiFi signal is excessively suppressed.
It will not do the same if the laptop is damaged, as in this case (probably).
The card has probably fallen or the antenna has broken. Check the power levels reported by the laptop. For comparison, see what a smartphone or other laptop shows. Use some app to show the power level, dashes are not authoritative. Use Acrylic WiFi or inSSIDer 2.x on PC and something like WiFi Analyzer on Android.
If the device next to it works and the laptop does not work, then look for reasons in the laptop.
Such an effect is unlikely to occur with software problems, but running the computer in safe mode with network control will not stop you.

Installation on InSSIDera v2 / Home computer and insert measurement result here - we will see how many wifi networks there are and on which channels they work.

I did it well on a laptop and on a computer. I do not know if this was the case but I insert, if not for more detailed instructions. First, in a room with a modem, then go to the living room and return. Is "free orange wifi" yours too? - is unsecured.
And the main network also has some weird encryption.

    But:
    - maybe a virus on this HP,
    - the wifi card in it is damaged,
    - did you install any program ...

Start your computer in safe mode with networking and test.

Free orange WiFi is not just an orange advertisement. In general, there is also a thing that I do not like and do not understand. Trying to change something, the brother-in-law changed the old name of the "FunBoxx2-A75C" network to the new "ManiekWiFi". And now the laptop only sees the ManiekWiFi network and the phone sees both and connects to FunBoxx2-A75C.

Change the channel number of your network because you are broadcasting the same one.

    Do what I wrote above.

The previous top is in safe mode. This is not mine, have you not encountered a situation in which you could search for a network with this name? This is an orange page, after logging into the network you can only view their page. And I checked the type of security is WPA / WPA2 Mixed. And what channel is best to change, indifferent?

It's yours - you were on channel 11 and that too, you changed it to 1 and it changed it too.
It's such free wifi for the clients of this operator - it is provided by every their client.

What network key did you enter? - your own or indicated by the operator.

Choose it yourself - the signal should be around -50 and less best.

It is also worth considering whether the built-in wifi card has failed.

I didn't know that. The key is entered by me and is there any possible option to check this card yourself or service?
