    Hey!

A moment ago I realized that annoying problems with the cable connection to the Internet are probably caused by a badly welded cable, which loosens in the slots of the computer and modem, but after the introduction of a minor correction, the situation has unfortunately deteriorated. Namely, after correcting the cable that was originally connected to the ETH1 slot of the FunBox 2.0 modem from the Orange network, I connected it to the ETH4 slot, because eventually it was only connected to the internet (the LEDs were lit after connecting the cable and the Internet signal reached the laptop). Unfortunately, the laptop (Lenovo Y510P Win 8.1. 64x) stated that it is an unidentified network and access to it is limited (I do not recall that there were any problems previously with slot 1, I did not have to configure anything) - I do not have access to the Internet through the cable , only via Wi-Fi. : /
I would like to ask you for help in solving the problem, so that the laptop can receive the Internet from the ETH4 slot just as it did before with ETH1 (in ETH1 the cable does not seem to connect now at all).

Replace the Ethernet cable, there nothing is welded, but crimped. Just exchange it. Check if it is not your laptop's fault to connect it in the same way to your friend's router or connecting another computer to the cable instead of your laptop. If this does not solve the problem or does not indicate what is to blame the power supply from the router, if there are still problems - contact the internet provider to exchange the router for another.

I am already thinking about the exchange, the only thing that puzzles me is that the cable now works, the laptop detects the internet and the LEDs are lit (now I was able to connect for an instant under the ETH1 slot, but the same was not read to me (Unidentified network / Ethernet, limited access What could have changed between disconnecting and connecting the cable? :D
Or maybe change something in the router-laptop configuration?

Buddy, you may wonder without writing about it ... First change the cable to 100% efficient and proven.
And what could have changed? Even the fact of a slight contact not caused by, for example, bad / insecure clench changing under the influence of motion, removing a bit of oxides from the contacts while inserting the plug.
