    Hello.

I have an unusual problem. In a word of introduction: Less than two years ago I signed a contract for wireless internet with Orange. At that time, it was not possible to connect an optical fiber to my building. The Internet was working smoothly during this time and the computer was connected to the router with an Ethernet cable. Recently, Orange has extended the fiber optic coverage to my building, so there is a migration option.

Yesterday, the fitters from Orange came and started working. It took them about 3 hours, and the whole time I was working on my old router and wireless internet. When the gentlemen finished their work, they instructed me to switch the Ethernet cable from the old router to the FunBox Orange, which should already be working. And here the biggest surprise - my computer stopped "seeing" the connected router. In the network settings it shows "Network cable disconnected" all the time. Tested on 3 different cables and 3 different devices. The problem only occurs with a PC. The Internet in FunBox is, after connecting to PS 4, the Internet works, the same on a laptop (all via ethernet), wifi works (currently it is the only way to connect the Internet to a PC (USB tethering via the phone)). No LAN connection lights are on, neither on the router nor on the LAN slot on the PC (the lights are on for PS and laptops). What's more: after the problem appeared, I switched back to the old router (still with internet access - checked) and it turned out that it also stopped being detected. Until today, I was convinced that the network card (integrated on the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard) hit it, but I checked and it turned out that the connection is there, because I can enter FunBox settings from the browser level, even though the status of the connection in the network settings is still "Cable network disconnected ". I'm in dead end. Anyone have any idea? Thank you in advance

PS I uninstalled the drivers and updated them both with system tools and downloaded them from MSI official website - no result.

Please start fixing the problem by installing the drivers for the ethernet card. You are not using any other network card? In cmd it looks as if you connected the cable to a different RJ-45 input than the one on the motherboard

RNDIS is a virtual card. In this case, emulated on USB. The author connects to the network via an Android phone connected by a wire.
@Verthus First, use a special electronic spray to clean the connector of the network card and the cable. Then, insert, press and pull out the cord a few times to ensure good contact. Check the status of the LEDs on the card and on the router. Write if they shine and what color. If there are no diodes, enter the BIOS and the status and diagnostics of the card should also be there (often there is). If it's okay with the physical layer, we'll keep looking.

The LEDs are off, and in the BIOS it shows the socket status as "disconnected", while other unused sockets are classified as "empty". The reset did not help, but I connected to FB via a phone connected via wifi to FB, not via ethernet - my oversight. I tried different versions of the drivers, both from the MSI website and from killernetworking.com itself, with no results. I guess it's really a problem with the socket itself, I am only surprised that it appeared just when the optical fiber was connected.

Check on other LAN ports in FB - maybe the LAN in the router is damaged, inactive, or assigned to a different service.

Did you not clean the socket on the PC? With the PC disconnected from the power supply, check if all the pins in the socket are in their places and if they are not deformed (sometimes you have to bend them to make them contact better). Buy a new cable (good quality), max 2m long and check it. If it doesn't help, you will probably have to buy a new card.
The drivers are always downloaded from the manufacturer's website (card, motherboard, computer). By downloading from sites like this, you probably installed a lot of different types of crap (Trojans, ads, crypto miners and others). Then you will be surprised to find that your computer slows down.

Often it is so crap that it is impossible to do without the format and installation of the system again.

Topic summary

The user is experiencing connectivity issues after migrating to the Orange FunBox 3.0 optical fiber router. Despite following installation instructions, the computer fails to recognize the Ethernet connection, displaying a "Network cable disconnected" message. Various troubleshooting steps are suggested, including checking the Ethernet card drivers, cleaning the network card connector, resetting the FunBox, and testing different LAN ports. The user reports that the LEDs on the network card are off and the BIOS indicates a "disconnected" status. Further recommendations include inspecting the physical condition of the Ethernet socket, using a high-quality Ethernet cable, and considering the possibility of a faulty network card.
