Hello, on 11.05.2017 I bought a new gas oven (junkers) ARISTON B11BS 100L
was founded by a gas-fired man and the same day he was started, he walked elegantly, he heated the water and normally turned off worked as it should until Sunday, 14.05.2017 when I got up around 13:30 (after Saturday) I went to the bathroom when I released the hot water the tap began to hiss ( as if there was a ventilation system) and after a while steam was coming instead of water! scared I ran to the garage (I live in a single-family house, the bathroom is on the first floor and the boiler in the basement) was all smoky and the stove was halfway in the fire the gas was flowing to the burner all the time quickly turned off the gas supply and the furnace went out the pressure was so great that the pvc pipe burst for a good hour I had a steam bath in the entire basement flooded all if I went down a little later, the basement would be on fire (it stores wood and coal for fuel for the winter) and thus the house would go with smoke ... should it do any protection work ?? it was dry under the stove, it was close enough to rip it apart. if it hadn't been for Sunday at home and what then? or at night when everyone is still sleeping ... I'm afraid to think so please give some advice if anyone has met with something like this and what I can do now is a new device under warranty I reported it in the shop where I bought it, I even carried it me that I should not download it, just wait for the service that will come and check the tightness (on a burnt stove, haha), the stove was life threatening, so I dismantled it and threw it outside, there is nowhere to guarantee that I cannot dismantle it myself, there is no gas connect (in my case it was connected and checked by a service technician authorized to do so) and what I threatened the store with now court and tomorrow will be the service (watch it) and what can I do in this situation I apologize for the syntax but I'm shaky and nervous ...

In what sense (after the events you described) did it pose a threat?
Prepare calmly for conversation with the service and read the oven inspection report twice before signing it. You have the right to submit your comments on the minutes.

so already after the event in 3 people (he still had a lot of water steam came out of him only) I was afraid that he could leak and flood the basements more ... until now it is warm (24h after that) or to show someone in the room I had thick welding gloves

This boiler has several protections, one of them is a thermostat that senses the water temperature and when a certain temperature is exceeded, it turns off the large burner, leaving the fire on duty. The second protection is on the draft diverter, which if the exhaust gases do not reach the chimney, the sensor heats up and opens the circuit again and completely cuts off the gas supply. In this case, exhaust gases were collected, so this protection did not work. Probably the thermostat didn`t work or if it did, it didn`t disconnect the gas, looking like the whole valve was burnt, there`s also a plug that feeds the contacts from the draft diverter at the chimney, the device is plastic, so there should be a break in the circuit there and it should disconnect the gas, maybe the gas was actually already disconnected only the cables were on fire, overall the event was terrible, there was no expansion vessel or a valve that would release the pressure of the boiling water

It was not allowed to be installed in this room.

It is true that this fan in the wall can create a significant negative pressure in the room, which may affect the way the fire burns and, for example, could cause the fire to flow downwards instead of into the chimney.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a malfunction of the Ariston B11BS gas oven, which led to a dangerous situation involving steam and potential fire hazards. The user reported that after initial normal operation, the oven began to leak steam and smoke, resulting in a flooded basement and a near fire incident. Responses highlighted the importance of safety features such as thermostats and draft diverters, which may have failed during the incident. Concerns were raised about the installation conditions and the potential for negative pressure affecting the oven's operation. The conversation also touched on the need for proper service communication and the user's ongoing concerns about the appliance's safety.
