    Hello,

I have a Stihl MS180 saw - I have thoroughly renovated it, namely I replaced it with a new piston and rings, as well as both bearings and seals on the shaft, I installed a new coil and, using a repair kit, replaced practically the entire carburetor guts - I put everything together and when firing the saw it starts and goes out after a second, apart from the fact that you have to pull the starter for a long time to fire - I turned the idle speed setting screw, but it did not give any result.

I checked the spark, fired without an air filter and without a muffler, but nothing brings any results.
I also note that when assembling the saw, I cleaned all the elements well.

Someone has ever encountered such a situation - which could be the reason, because frankly speaking I have no idea what else to pay attention to

Maybe there is a vacuum in the tank? I had that too. Check.

There was no vacuum, but the trial and error method found the culprit, and it turned out to be a carburetor - I bought a replacement and the saw fires without problems.

By the way, it's an interesting situation with this original carburetor (zama c1q - s57a) - I dismantled it, blown it with a compressor, cleaned it with a gas cleaning agent and replaced all the parts in it that could be removed and after such a procedure it does not give fuel, it is very strange - I am only curious if it is a defect or just that they have these carburettors to work for a specific time and then to be replaced

Hello. I had a similar fun with the Stihl 025. The reason, as it turned out, was the wrong engine seal. What was the saw complex for? High-temperature red silicone does not work, gasoline dissolves it. Use Dirko paste, available for purchase in the automotive industry.

Maybe you have too high a plate with a needle valve. It should be flush with the carburetor housing ... or you lost the spring from under this plate. It is so small that you can not notice.
