Recently I was looking for a new motherboard and chose the same as in the title.
If anyone ever thinks about buying this and uses Windows7 or Windows 8.0 / 8.1, I do not advise. A real nightmare. I'm thinking about taking it back to the store and taking something else.
Problem 1:
There are drivers for it on the Gigabyte website.
http://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-B250M-D3H-rev-10#support-dl
That's what I suggested when buying. You can see the drivers for W7, W8, W8.1, W10 and it is complete under x32 and x64.
Unfortunately, you can dream about the correct installation of W7 or W8.
Unpacked drivers are not included in this system!
We take, for example, Intel Intel HD610 graphics and non-stop while trying to install, we see the message: the system does not meet the minimum requirements.
So I took apart the SETUP package to dig all the controls and unfortunately I didn't find the HD610 driver. They are up to HD510, 530,540,560 and 585 and up to 610 is not.
Problem 2:
4 hours I murdered the disc to install the system on the SSD. Seriously!
4 hours and nothing because it could not be! Not from a DVD or PENA.
The disk cannot see the SSD during W7 / W8 installation.
I tried to provide AHCI and other drivers downloaded from the site and the same problem as with graphics! Windows just doesn't want to install them.
The system does not see the SSD disk or plate connected to SATA3. In truth, the BIOS can see the drives but Windows 7/8 not anymore.
In bios I have only two options: AHCI or Windows Boot Loader UEFI. Legacy is gone. I tried installation in many ways and nothing. It doesn't matter if UEFI (bootx64.efi) or classic. I checked the AHCI drivers for W7, W8 and W10. Nothing fits but ...
I put the SSD in my HP laptop. I launched the Windows 7 installer in UEFI mode from the bootx64.efi file. I waited until the partitioning menu appeared and here I manually entered the driver from the Gigabyte board. The system adopted this driver and started the installation by copying the Windows installation files to disk. When the first system restart appeared during installation, I turned off the laptop. I took out the SSD and USB stick and mounted it in the stationary. I started the stationary manually (BootMenu + Bootloader Windows UEFI). The installation of Windows 7 has started and ... the system has already correctly recognized the disk driver that I previously wanted to enter from its level and which I did not want to accept! What is wrong??
Windows is installed correctly ... because ...
Problem3:
No controls for Intel HD610 graphics for Windows 7. The computer started with a resolution of 640x480 without the possibility of changing to even 800x600 on a full hd 1920x1080 monitor via HDMI !!!! A real massacre.
Gigabyte drivers do not match!
They are not going to upload to Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Problem4:
Windows Update shows me a message that in Windows 7 my processor is not supported! Pentium G4560 on s1151 is not supported. The processor has been designed for newer Windows systems.
No words!!!!!!!
Problem5:
Common messages in windows 7 type: this device can run faster, connect it to a faster USB3.0 port!
Some disaster because the device is connected to USB3.1 and the drivers work!
What this is about?
Do I have the right to return this CD to the store?
I write like a bull that works with windows 7 and 8 and doesn't work!
I didn't expect that.
The first two drivers from the bottom. When I try to install W7 on this CD, it doesn't accept them. When I start the installation on other equipment, that's it!
Drivers do not work on Windows 7, 8.0 and 8.1. On windows 10 everything is hula, but I can't install W10, unfortunately.
Problem6:
A video card connected via HDMI or DVI or DSUB blurs the image.
Complete lack of sharpness on any resolution. We are talking about Windows10 (Demo) because only I was able to test the hardware.
Nei has no image focus anywhere. Neither at 1024x768, nor at 1600x900 or at full HD. The monitor is AMOLED 24 "FullHD.
Problem7: Booting in Fast Boot or Ultra Fast Boot mode takes longer than in an old HP 6455b type jack. I do not know what's going on.
Windows 10 = 12sec, Windows 7 = 14sec!
I checked the SSD in Benchmark and it reads 540MB / s so ok. Connected to SATA3.
Problem7: The startup logo and bios messages at startup are stretched so that you can't see half of the BOOT MENU, HELP MENU etc. options like half the screen disappears on the right! It doesn't go to set anything!
I tried 16: 9, 16: 4, 4: 3, classic, zoom, full and mass of other monitor options. The same on DVI, the same on HDMI. Dsub, of course, too.
Bios is the latest from April 2017.
