Hello, I have the MSI Z270 Tomahawk platform + ADATA XPR SX8000 256GB disk under M2. It was plugged directly into the motherboard, there is no problem with installing wines 10. The trouble starts with win7. What nvme drivers are required for this platform? I have already downloaded dozens only on none, it does not detect the disk after giving them in win7. Thank you in advance for your answer.

    best regards

    Hello
    Standard
    1) Is the BIOS the newest 7A68v13 from 2017-07-14?
    and restored to default values?

    2) SATA mode (SATA mode)
did you switch from AHCI to RAID and did something?
    you can still have fun
    M2 remapping
    M2 genie

I would check the FastBoot options (sometimes it can mess with MSI)

    4) You can download some generic AHCI (generic AHCI) driver and see if it will notice the disk then

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but what has ahci to NVME? I mount the disk under m2, not under sata!

M.2 is SATA, PCIe and USB in one plug, but the SX8000 is connected to PCIe. If you have access to a computer on which you are able to install the system on M.2, you can start the installation and after the first reboot, transfer the disk to the target computer.

I would try in this direction: http: //forum.notebookreview.co...ma-usb-3-0-thumbdrive.783921/ - there are drivers for Intel, Samsung or LiteOn (Plextor), unfortunately for A- there is no date (but the procedure will remain similar).

Unfortunately, from this site I tried to add all the drivers before and it does not work on any of them.

Well, it mounts directly in the M.2 socket in its disc, not through any pci adapters, but directly what will I get by inserting this disk into another M.2 socket? Windows 7 will not detect it there either ...

Update to add native driver support in NVM Express in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 *
    (+ "0x0000007E" Stop error after you install hotfix 2990941 in Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 )

It is also worth adding the USB3 drivers and the patches of the unfortunate W7 Update immediately

BTW: Convenience rollup update for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

    * - if you have the W10 installation media, you can add method 3: possibly preparing SSD in DISKPART, installing W7 using DISM + creating system files (bcdboot), adding patches and drivers using DISM

As for the installation of W7 X64 @ UEFI, I would like to remind you that for the graphics to start in UEFI it needs (emulation) INT 10h \ VBIOS interrupt (corresponding settings in the motherboard Setup) and if it is to be carried out from a pendrive, it is worth copying from indexu w install.wim \ Windows \ Boot \ EFI \ bootmgfw.efi do ( letter_pendrive ) \ EFI \ Boot \ bootx64.efi.

I installed windows 10, the client quit for a moment until someone releases a driver that will start with this disk, so the topic is not solved. Out of 10 wines it works perfectly fine, about 1gb / second (1000mb / s) on average reading. It is sensational, it is a pity that it is not a fault.

PS I'm not closing the topic, maybe someone will have something else to add.

    best regards
