Hey. I own the TomTom GO 520 navigation with WIFI and a lifetime map and speed camera update service.

There was a failure message updating the map today. I normally restarted the device and my eyes noticed very bad news: "NO MAP AVAILABLE, Add one or more maps before using the device".

TomTom GO 520 WIFI - Failed Map Update, No Map Available, Lifetime Service, 17.100.0022.044

Below is the "add map" button that doesn't work. Namely, when pressed, the display dims for a few seconds, and then displays information about the update weighing about 350 MB and the designation 17.100.0022.044. Unfortunately, I can't install it because after a while a message about missing maps appears.

I have already tried to restart the device, i.e. by holding the ON / OFF key for over 30 seconds, but this does not solve the problem.
I'm not a specialist in this field, but I suspect it's a firmware bug.

Has anyone had contact with this type of problem and would like to share their experience?

    Greetings.

    5 things:
    1.restart navigation as you wrote
    2. close the mydrive connect peogram - also kill in task manager
    3. enter the location where the data is saved - probably C: / Users / user / AppData / Local / TomTom / HOME3 / cache - delete everything that is there.
    4. Restart it ie MDC
5.plug the navigation and let it update again

Was this version no registration required to get LTM?

tomrom1985 - I followed your instructions and the update started. At the moment, the process is at 36%, but I see in the task manager that the MDC program is working intensively (network usage at 25 Mb / s).

Freddy - it's exactly as you write. Mine was registered about three months ago.

MDC can plow a processor. On my i7 and 16GB Ram I often feel a hell on the side of my laptop. Patience - it will be okay

For me, MDC on i7 3810 and 16gb ram does not show anything during the update. In general, the most important is a fast and stable internet connection. For me, UPC flashes perfectly, and for friends with other operators - dialogue or Orange is a failure. The update breaks and you have to combine several times.

The update has ended and the device has already started correctly :D .
    Problem solved, topic closed.
    Thank you for your interest.
