Hello everyone. I have one thing for you, maybe a silly question. I didn't find the right answer.
I would like to buy gold or black 900 series caves and now which ones are better? Black or gold. Does it look the same.
Additional question: what tips do you use besides the standard one in the set? What do you recommend - for various activities - for the beginner. Such a basic set ;)

    Thank you ;)

Each tip has a different use, so there are no tips for beginners :D There are only caves for more difficult and easier activities :P
To start with, I recommend you buy a tapered and scalpel. I have been parting with the scalpel for 9-10 years, it's best to solder on it. It is suitable for soldering many things, very neutral tip :D

And thank you :) Which ones are better black or gold? :) Or maybe it's just a marketing gimmick.

I feel like a grip :D For aesthetic reasons I would take gold-plated. is there a significant price difference?

900M-TK is the aforementioned "scalpel" ;)

    1. And which is this "mini wave"?
    2. The slight difference - from 2 to 4 zlotys on the grotto ;)
    3. And what can you use the so-called chisel - seems solid and large? :)

    1. A minifall is probably all "C" types, ie T-3C, T-4C etc.
The minifala has a hollow at the end, a "container" for tin.

    2. Rather, there is no difference between black / gold. It is important that the tip is always whitewashed and not scraped too much on the surface. Probably the only thing you pay extra for the look :D So whether you buy gold or black depends on you. There is no difference, only price.

    3. The chisel is similar to a cone with the difference that it has a cut flat tip. You must try each cave and choose which one you work best with. ;)

    Black caves are the best.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the choice between gold and black tips for 900 series soldering stations, with users debating their differences. It is suggested that the color difference is primarily aesthetic, with no significant performance variation. Recommendations for beginner tips include tapered and scalpel types, specifically the 900M-TK model, which is favored for its versatility. Users also mention the "mini wave" tips, which are hollow and designed for tin, and the chisel tip, which has a flat cutting edge. Overall, the consensus is that the choice of tips should be based on personal preference and specific soldering tasks rather than color.
