    Hello, layman's question -
    1. I have a laptop with an internal integrated sound card.
    2. I have a creative bluetooth receiver connected to a set of 5.1 active computer speakers.

I would like to connect an external 5.1 sound card to my laptop. I would like to send the signal from this external card via bluetooth to the receiver connected to the set of speakers.

Question - does I need a bluetooth transmitter connected to an external card or is the default transmitter in the laptop enough?
    Thanks

    What is this receiver (model).
You connected it in 5.1 to these speakers because I doubt that it has such an output?
Bt with a paw is enough, moreover, it goes 2.0 anyway.
Give me the model of these speakers.

And you connect to the green socket in the speakers?
Then you usually have a stereo. You don't need any external cards. Bt from the computer is enough.

I mean the possibility of using 5.1 speakers, the internal card in the laptop usually has a stereo. The appropriate external card may give a signal on 5.1. Now the question is, can I transmit this signal via bluetooth so that the 5.1 signal reaches the speakers?
    Thanks

A2DP only allows stereo audio transmission and the card will not change that.

    Thanks, that's what I meant.
So if I have an external 5.1 sound card, the only way is to connect the cable directly to the speaker system?

One more question, is it worth connecting an amplifier to this set of speakers?

    Thanks for the answers

    Hello!

For what purpose? What effect would you like to get? These are active speakers, i.e. with a built-in amplifier and power supply.

Finally, I bought an external creative card and will connect to the speaker system. We'll see if it will play

ok I will see HOW it will play via a cable and an external sound card compared to the card from the laptop and the signal via bluetooth for this set of speakers (which, moreover, sound great after 8 years)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting an external 5.1 sound card to a laptop with an integrated sound card, while using a Creative Bluetooth receiver linked to Logitech X-540 active speakers. The main inquiry is whether the laptop's built-in Bluetooth transmitter suffices for sending a 5.1 audio signal from the external sound card to the receiver. Responses clarify that Bluetooth A2DP only supports stereo audio transmission, meaning a direct wired connection from the external sound card to the speakers is necessary for 5.1 audio. The conversation also touches on the potential addition of an amplifier to the speaker system, with suggestions that it may not be needed since the speakers are already active with built-in amplification. The user later confirms the purchase of an external Creative sound card to test the audio output.
