    lovely
Will the new latituda 5580 fit a m.2 drive + a normal 2.5 "sata drive? It's best if this space for WWAN does not take up ...
the instruction on the della website in this regard is unclear to me.
if someone had such a paw, I will be grateful for looking under the housing :)

The drive has nothing to do with it ... I had a Lenovo where I could put a ssd in place of the above mentioned.
maybe here you can add a disk to m.2 and additionally a 2.5 "disk will physically enter ...
I just want someone to physically check it out

before I asked it, of course, I looked through the manual ... but as you probably noticed, there are no HDD pictures .. (only m.2)
anyway the catch is here today, quite nice and it looks like room for a 2.5 "disk would be found ..
even the JSATA1 connector is not used, I just need to find the part number to change it to the usual SATA :)

Unfortunately, I haven't found my pockets yet, but when inserted "loose" it does not fly around the housing. I connected a 2.5 "320GB disc and it works great

    edit:
    pocket is part: 06F7DD

Topic summary

The Dell Latitude 5580 can accommodate both an M.2 drive and a 2.5" SATA drive concurrently. Users have confirmed that there is physical space for a 2.5" drive, and the necessary connector (JSATA1) is available but may require a specific part number (CN-04G9GN) for installation. One user successfully connected a 2.5" 320GB disk, indicating compatibility and functionality. The official documentation lacks detailed images of the HDD setup, leading to some confusion among users.
