    Hello

Once, by accident, I came across a discussion on the forum about the fact that some products (so generally) for supermarkets are of lower quality. Someone also suggested that they are slightly differently marked. Now I wanted to buy a screwdriver - it was DCD776C2. I also found it on Castorama's website - a lot cheaper - but it turns out that it has the designation DCD776C2-QW.

And now I don't know if it's the same screwdriver or another. There is no product with such a tip on the producer's website. Can anyone know what QW means in the end?

    greetings

Hello, sometimes it is so that the tools that go to supermarkets are "stripped down". So maybe it is in this case or something, I do not know. For example, grinders that normally have a soft start system, in market versions do not have it (such an example).

In the end I bought it in Castorama - PLN 568 vs PLN 720 convinced me. I also checked that the screwdriver itself has the same markings as on the manufacturer's website - that is, DCD776. Only on the carton is an additional C2-QW (i.e. DCD776C2-QW together) - this means C2, there are 2 batteries in the package. Unfortunately, they did not write anything which means QW. Well - I count on the fact that the manufacturer would not give a crap because after it breaks down in 2 years I will not say that the Castorama screwdriver just broke, that the DeWalta screwdriver broke. And if such a thing were common then they would take the whole reputation of the brand.

On the dewalt website you can extend your warranty for one year and three years for a screwdriver and charger free of charge because the batteries have only one year warranty. You think that you have a two-year warranty, you only have one year, although you are a private user. Personally, as a seller, I think that you chose a model with bad batteries, relatively few sold devices, a lot returned to the complaint after a year of battery life. 2Ah batteries are much better. To extend the life of your batteries, read the instructions for use.
