I installed a m.2 ssd drive in my laptop so much that due to the lack of a suitable screw I glued it from the bottom with a tape (wrapped the tape around) to the motherboard ... I went around all computer and construction stores and did not find a screw that would fit. Does anyone know whether in the laptop acer aspire vx 15 (vx5-591g) the screw needed to screw the ssd disk is M2x3 like in others? I would buy them online but I would like to be sure because the shipment is several times more expensive than the whole set of these screws :( . By the way, can this tape damage equipment?

The tape alone will not damage the equipment, the disk should also not heat up too much, and there will be no problem. The easiest way is to approach a computer service / store, they will choose a screw for a few pennies.

The problem is that there is no decent shop / service in my area, they would have to send the laptop somewhere. In three stores they do not have screws at all, and in the only service (it is rather a small residential "spade") I was and equipped with all the small screws he had (only three pieces). The tape probably won't melt? It is quite remote from the processor and graphics card. And if the disc fades out, will the data be lost / lost? It would be a shame because there is a system on it :(

Maybe weird but the question: where do you have these "screws" that were screwed to the original disk in this laptop ?. I may be wrong but the screws used to attach the disk are standardized.

They are in the same place all the time because it was originally there and still is a disc disk. But for checking I removed one of the hdd holding screws and it doesn't fit. Do you have any idea how to remove a small screw? I read that some calculators fit.
