    Hello,

I am asking for help and advice with the Dasan H660GW router and setting it up for the PS4 console. I am a total layman.

I bought a console, increased the net package to 300/15 and I want to sell it because playing online (I only play Fife 17 in total) is practically impossible.

Ie. I know how and that you need to unblock the ports / set DMZ on the Console IP - I set both, while all the tools I found, i.e. whatsmyip.org programs and websites show these ports as still blocked (Timed-Out).

There is very little information on the network about this router - I will add that I set DMZ and redirects from both the user and administrator accounts.

Not only that, I have UpNp turned on which has opened itself e.g. port 3659 (EA Tunnel under Fife 17) and also all the tools show that this port is closed.

The quality of the connection on the console is tragic - the game is like Slow Motion.

The question is what else might be causing the ports to not open? (I have public IP via PPPoe protocol - and devices at home connected via NAT)
Connection tests on the console come out tragically and jump terribly, the result can be 25/1.
In addition, when entering the game and trying to connect with the opponent, it disconnects me from the EA servers the first time (always) and only after reconnecting it searches for the rival, as if something was blocking the connection.

I have already tried all the steps in the general guide on connecting PS4 to the net, nothing works.
The supplier is a guy who is willing to help, but about the configuration for PS4 he has the same idea as I do about networks in general - none.

And show the status page with dasana, maybe you only think you have a public address?

    Radio-delivered Internet?

Dasan H660GW is a fiber optic router.

@xxhammett paste the screen from the router status tab.

    Two more lay questions ..

    1. Is it possible for these pages to incorrectly indicate ports are closed?
    2. If they were actually closed, shouldn't I be having problems connecting to PSN?
Because generally the connection itself works, the problem is with its quality.

    Check out the last post:

You still have the following accounts on this device:
    https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic2685176.html

I also dealt with Dasan (I don't remember the model), a different supplier and nothing in the world was going to redirect the port. Then I found out that somehow only the supplier could do it on his part in the end.
In general, it ended up being only a Bridge Dasan and I manage the rest on my own device and everything works 100%

And that would be the best solution.

But why in this board you have Ethernet as the interface (probably input) and not PON or WAN?

I have read both topics. As for access, I know the password for the user, I had the administrator for some time and I can ask the provider to make it available again at any time, unfortunately setting the DMZ from the admin panel also did not help.

The ISP, on the other hand, claims that there is no gate anymore other than my Dasan that could block ports.

    @ KOCUREK1970

I don't know, I don't know each other :) From what I can see these are just packet statistics? (I don't know if I understand correctly) and Ethernet is selected.

Tomorrow I will try to connect the console directly, without a switch, with a new cable. The old man is 10, maybe that's a problem too.

in that case, would you be able to advise which routers to target with this configuration?

As for the device, it all depends on the budget.
You write that the link 300/15 is for sure a router with a 1Gb port.

You can check the open ports with the tool:
    http://www.whatsmyip.org/port-scanner/

I have no idea how much you have to spend on good equipment in this matter - PLN 200/300?

It is from this side, among others I used it by checking the ports, only 80 and 443 are closed (i.e. if I understand correctly open, but not used at the moment), the rest are Timed-Out - despite DMZ setting or individual redirection.

But only on the condition that we use exactly these and not other ports (the page has a given port type in the scanner, one and not another by default).
Other ports must be indicated there manually.

It is more important here whether you have an external IP - because if not, then a million zloty router will not help here.
First, make sure your ISP has assigned you an external IP.

I have an external IP over PPPoe protocol. Constant.

I can see in router settings IP = with this checked on common checking pages.

    + information from ISP.

Unless I'm trumpeted or the ISP put something wrong and the external IP doesn't work as it should ..

Is there any method to check it 100%?

I found another suggestion on another forum: "your operator must have pissed off babola :)
gives public in pppoe but natives all traffic on the Wan interface, not excluding public addresses and hence the problem :) , I know because I used to have such a problem myself :) "

how to check / exclude it?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around configuring the Dasan H660GW router for optimal online gaming performance on the PS4, specifically for FIFA 17. The user is experiencing significant connection issues despite having set up port forwarding, DMZ, and UPnP. Various participants suggest checking the Internet Service Provider (ISP) for potential port blocking and verifying the public IP status. The user confirms having a public IP via PPPoE but questions the reliability of the ISP's configuration. Recommendations include connecting the console directly to the router and considering alternative routers for better performance. The conversation highlights the challenges of managing router settings and the importance of ISP cooperation in resolving connectivity issues.
