    Hello,

DASAN H660GW modem / router has DHCP turned off - on purpose.

There is another DHCP server on the network that assigns IP addresses to clients.

This other DHCP server is working properly, all devices connecting through the switch in the network get the correct addresses.

BUT devices connecting through the router are not addressed.

    solution:
    computer --- LAN1 router LAN2 --- switch --- DHCP server
    and
cell --- WiFi router LAN2 --- switch --- DHCP server
they don't work - they don't get IP.

If I use a fixed IP address, devices connecting through the router work properly.

    layout address allocation works
computer --- switch --- DHCP server

It looks as if the router is unable to forward the DHCP request to the internal network.
Or it can not - deliberate actions of the manufacturer and nothing can be done about it.
Or there are rules set on some firewall

    question 1.
is there a detailed instruction for this device?

    question 2.
or maybe there is already a ready, how to enable, if possible, sending DHCP requests within the internal network (change firewall settings, or something else).

I have administrative access to the router - I know admin / pass

Okay. Now I know for sure.
This device is a fiber optic modem (ONT).
It is impossible to set it the way you expect.
Alternatively, if you insist, try using a cross wire between the dasan and the switch.
However, it seems to me that it will not change anything, because from what I can see in the manual, this device does not even have a manageable dhcp.

Does your configuration page look the same?
This dasan is not a typical routher. Rather, it is to perform the function of the so-called ONT at the fiber optic network.
I don't know if he can use it for your purposes.

    Hello,

thanks for your interest in the topic.

Yes, it's a modem / router to the light

I have seen this instruction, it is not too big.

In appearance (configuration panel) it is this router, but after logging in to the admin I have much more settings.

it has DHCP on / off, it also has a fairly extensive firewall section, for example.

    DHCP is intentionally disabled.

If I didn't have my own DHCP server and the "factory" one would be enabled, I probably wouldn't have this problem.

Then turn on DHCP and set it to PASSTROUGH, if that is the option.

After contacting the internet provider who contacted the manufacturer of the device.
It is not possible to change.
The device will always work like this.

    The problem is unsolvable.
