    Hello.
I have a problem with the Whirlpool ADP 6240/1 FD dishwasher. Service number 8542 624 01053.
After starting the dishwasher, it turns on the pump for pumping out the water for a moment (it always did that even before the problem), then it takes in water (I moved it away from the building and saw that the plastic tank on the left was filled first, and then the one on the right). A moment later, the dishwasher pumps out the water and beeps once (like after the end of washing) and after opening the door, I find that the F6 and EC code flashes alternately on the panel. I am surprised by EC because I have not found information about such a code anywhere. I've read quite a few posts about problems with the F6 code but never EC.
I will add that I checked all the hoses, nothing is bent, the dishwasher fills with water quickly, it also releases normally as always. It's been working fine for a year and all of a sudden this problem. What could be the reason?

Edit: I turned on program #2 (pre-wash with cold water) and the dishwasher is working properly (I think). The tank on the right fills up, the dishwasher washes (you can hear the rotating blades and the washing pump), then the level slowly drops (the blades stand still), then it washes again and the water level in the tank rises. The cycle repeats several times.
I also checked with the water valve closed, the H2O message is displayed when trying to fill.

Thank you in advance for your help.
    David

I cleaned the sensor as you advised, although it was not dirty, and unfortunately it did not help. Can this mean that it is damaged or can there be another reason?

Hey in my dishwasher during the washing cycle, the dishwasher suddenly stops beeping, beeps, drains the water and turns off the washing light. After opening the door, you can see unwashed dishes and the message "EC, F6" is displayed alternately, disconnecting from the power supply for a while or changing the program now does not help after thoroughly cleaning the entire dishwasher ... to solve this problem in your dishwasher? Because I don't know whether to buy a new one or there is still any chance to fix it. greetings

@dawid_krakow Hey, did you fix the dishwasher with the F6 EC error? Greetings.

Topic summary

The Whirlpool ADP 6240/1 FD dishwasher is experiencing F6 and EC error codes after startup, indicating a potential issue with the water sensor or pump valve. Users suggest checking and cleaning the OWI sensor, which may be dirty or malfunctioning. If cleaning does not resolve the issue, the sensor may need replacement. Some users have reported similar problems, linking the F6 error to pump valve issues. The EC code remains less documented, prompting further investigation into its meaning and potential solutions.
