I mechanically damaged the air conditioning coolers, so I decided to get the replacement myself. I bought a new replacement and dryer. And now my question is whether I can do it without the duct and if I need to replace the expansion valve. And ideally the whole description of the course of the exchange I would like if someone has.

Sure, it can't be done, but you have exaggerated with this instruction. Trust me, you don't want to snap photos that are unscrewed in turn.

And there is quite a bit of it. Wheel arches, bumper and what else bothers there

More or less I know how to replace the radiator, I just mean what to replace by the way. Some O-rings or, for example, this safety valve and choke.

There are no such things there, you give new O-rings, moisten it with a technical pad or petroleum jelly and assemble before assembly.

Buddy choke with a strainer is 100% only that not in the radiator itself but next to the valves where they connect the air conditioning punching machine. The muck collects there and apparently needs to be replaced because it can clog. PLN 7 in intercars.

This is not a choke but an expansion nozzle, as the air conditioning works and ice blows, you don't move. And if you don't get muck, you do it every year and you don't have to rummage in the tube.

The expansion nozzle is also called the throttle nozzle and in the wall is described as the throttle. I read that they are shitty and the efficiency of the climate is falling. Exchanges because the cost is small and the work also moments and I suspect that from the novelty this valve was not replaced.

I replaced the cooler and dryer because the expansion valve was clean. The topic is considered closed.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the DIY replacement of the air conditioning radiator in an Audi A4 B6 1.6 (2002) after mechanical damage. The user inquires about the necessity of replacing the expansion valve and whether the replacement can be done without the duct. Responses indicate that while the radiator can be replaced, attention should be given to components like O-rings and the expansion nozzle (also referred to as the throttle nozzle), which may need replacement to ensure optimal performance. It is suggested that the expansion valve should be checked, as it can affect the efficiency of the air conditioning system. The user concludes that they replaced the cooler and dryer, finding the expansion valve to be clean, thus considering the topic resolved.
