    Hello.
I need help addressing my client's server and win 7 so I can connect to the domain. I have the server on virtualbox. I pinged the client's address from the server and everything flashes nicely, but when I ping the client, the host's server address is unreachable. The server is addressed like this: IP: 192.168.1.2 Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gate: 192.168.1.1 DNS 192.168.1.1. IP Client 192.168.1.3 Mask 255.255.255.0 Gate 192.168.1.1 DNS 192.168.1.2. WIN7 IP 192.168.1.4 Mask 255.255.255.0.
    Please help

network cards are in "internal network"?

The card in the VB guest settings works as I understand it in the bridge. Is there a firewall on the host / guest (server)? "Win7" is the host computer? "Client" is a separate computer or another VB virtual machine on the same host?

One network adapter is natively the other is internal. Win7 is a computer on which the virtual is placed and the client is a separate computer (laptop) with win 7.
    All firewalls are disabled

Well, you won't get to any of them "from the outside". Set the one with the correct configuration to "Bridged".

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting a Windows 7 client to a Windows Server 2008 domain hosted on VirtualBox. The user faced an issue where the server's address was unreachable when pinging from the client, despite successful pings from the server to the client. The server's network configuration included an IP of 192.168.1.2, while the client and Windows 7 machine had IPs of 192.168.1.3 and 192.168.1.4, respectively. After troubleshooting, including checking network adapter settings and firewall configurations, the solution was to set the network adapter to "Bridged" mode, which resolved the connectivity issue.
