    I warmly welcome.

I have a problem printing on the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4535 printer.

Solving problems on the HP website does not lead to anything:
    (https://support.hp.com/en-us/product/HP-DeskJet-Ink-Advantage-4530-All-in-One-Printer-series/5447926/model/5447927?jumpid=reg_r1002_plpl_s-001_title_r0002).

The printer started to cause problems just now, for many months after the purchase everything worked without a problem.

The problem is that whatever I send to print (large, small or empty documents) from MS Word, MS Excel, Firefox and some pdf files from Adobe Reader go to the print queue for about 1s and disappear (the printer does not respond).
However, there are PDFs that print, go to the print queue, lie there for some time (almost to finish printing) and are printed correctly, and print photos from the FastStone Image Viewer.

Once there were no problems, and I did not install anything new, I did not change any settings in the above mentioned programs, Windows or the printer itself. All drivers and all HP software are installed and have full connectivity with the printer, you can print test pages, clean nozzles, check the ink status, scan, etc.
The printer has always been connected via a Wi-Fi network, but doing it again, connecting it to the computer via Wi-Fi Direct, and re-installing it in the system did not change anything - the problem remained.

My system is Win 10 Home x64 PL with all updates.

Please give me some idea to solve this problem.

Does the printer print correctly directly through the USB port bypassing Wi-Fi?

    No.
When connecting via USB, the same thing happens.

I did not just mention that when printing from Excel it looks a bit different, Excel crashes the error Inconsistent Printing Issues with HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4535: Word, Excel, Firefox and nothing goes to the print queue, even for a second (as with other programs).

The last option is to check the printer on the USB connector on another computer.
If it is the same, the printer may be damaged.

Damage which selects which files and from which programs to print?
Test pages from HP software, some pdf's from "Adobe Reader", and jpg from "FastStone Image Viewer" and what I have just checked from the "Windows Photo Browser" program prints without problems and every time. It does not look like a printer failure.

I just checked on another computer (Windows 7), everything works perfectly, so it's not the fault of the printer.

You may not believe it, but one old HP who was damaged after the storm.
It works as it wants, it does not print excel files at all. Go haywire.
    Very similar behavior to you.

If you have checked on another computer, search for the reason in the operating system.
See even in safe mode after USB if it prints normally.

Problem solved by marti_5 in this thread.

Returning to the user's original TMP environment variables solved the problem.

Topic summary

The user is experiencing inconsistent printing issues with the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4535, where documents sent from MS Word, MS Excel, Firefox, and some PDFs do not print and disappear from the print queue. The problem persists even when connected via USB, and Excel crashes with an error. However, test pages and certain PDFs print correctly. After testing the printer on another computer, it was confirmed that the printer itself is functioning properly. The issue was ultimately resolved by restoring the original TMP environment variables in the operating system.
