Hello, I bought a printer today HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2545 I'm happy with it, it is quite quiet, it scans quickly and it prints in good quality.
The problem is that when I print text from MS WORD, it cuts off a piece of the bottom part of the printed text, not even so much text as the frame that I placed around the text.

I am looking and reading for a good 5 hours and I am really fed up with not knowing what to do.
Overall, I found out that HP printers have slightly different printing margins than other printers. I found such an option on the manufacturer's website, but I can't find it for China
"* For these margin settings on a Windows computer, click the tab Advanced in the print driver window and check the option Minimize margins . "

I also have the following margin values: Top, Bottom, Right and Left, which supposedly have to be entered manually in the program (in my case, MS WORD) which I did, but it did not give the expected effect, on the contrary, even worse.

I am asking for help, maybe someone had such a problem not necessarily in this model, but maybe still. Thank you in advance

Rather, it's not the printer's fault, but the text formatting. Try libre office is free.
Try on a different printer to be sure, you can also send the page to print if it does not contain data.

Because you have to set the minimized margins in the printer properties, not the word page settings in this case.

I wrote about it, but I can't find it anywhere in the printer options.

You know the text in WORDZIE prints to me the whole problem here, no problem, I don't mean that in WORD you have all kinds of "frames" which you give around the whole text for, say, embellish the page and just such a lower part cuts it off.

Weird. Try to reinstall the driver or change to a newer one (download from hp website).

It is in the border settings that give the options measured from the text, not the page edge, and try (play with the margins).

The reinstallation did not work, I played with the margins for a good 2 hours without effective, when I take the measured from the text, it does not give the desired visual effect and it misses the goal in total. Even when I stretched a little when measured from the text, the bottom edge was cut, it looks something like this: I gave the frame only to avoid wasting ink.

Generally, thank you for your willingness, because it is the most important thing, but you have to keep trying something else. This option seems to me "Minimize Margins" it has the best chance of success, but I can't fucking get to it, I've tried in various ways to enter tabs in different ways and nothing. Maybe someone knows the path to it and could additionally give it a description.

Throw us screenshots from the printer driver options tabs. I don't have such a printer, so I have no way to look.

I hope you can see well, I gave the numbers one by one where I entered.

And you are not trying to print beyond the minimum "technical" margin of the printer? In this printer, everything that is closer than 15mm from the bottom edge is automatically cut and there is no help for that.

Hmm, honestly, I have no idea. I have A4 paper set in the printer and in the program, and before printing, I give A4 scaling. It doesn't really do any good.

Perhaps that frame on the bottom edge is actually slightly below this margin.
But how do I set this margin? I tried to play with the margins in the program to no avail. And it's a bit strange that when writing in the program on an A4 sheet that the printer supports such circuses, it fails.

Do you know if there is any solution to set these 15mm? A total of 14.5mm was given on the manufacturer's website.

There is something like this on the manufacturer's website wgl, but the best part is that I can't find it:

The model is correct, so where is this option? Because I can't really find it.

I have no idea where these margin minimization settings would be. I had a similar printer with an identical menu and there is no such option either. Since there is no such option, the only conclusion is that the margins are permanently set to the minimum (i.e. the bottom at 14.5mm). Any margin adjustments can only be made from within the application (e.g. word) and must not fall below the minimum specified by the printer specification.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an issue with the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2545 printer, where printed text from MS Word is cut off at the bottom, affecting frames and margins. Users suggest that the problem may stem from incorrect margin settings, emphasizing the need to adjust printer properties rather than just the document settings. Recommendations include reinstalling the printer driver, experimenting with margin settings, and ensuring that the print job does not exceed the printer's minimum margin specifications (approximately 14.5mm). Screenshots of printer settings were shared for clarity, and some users reported success by deselecting specific options in the print dialog. Overall, the consensus is that the issue is likely related to margin limitations inherent to the printer model.
